Build

My First build(budget

by monrroy

Description

I made this pc a few weeks ago and i had no idea how mo build a pc but I watched a lot of pc building guides and that helped a lot. I was most worried a bout the power supply because it had a lot of cables and I didn't know where to put them. Anyways this is my first pc I want to upgrade my ssd because it was a really cheap ssd and it works ok, my boot time is about 12s, I don't know if thats good or bad since this is my first build. personally I thinks its bad because its a cheap ssd.I also want to upgrade my GPU for a better one because the one I have at the moment is a 1060 3gb I always have to overclock it to play demanding games like pubg (btw I get max 100 fps on pubg depending on the map at high settings) and assassins creed origins(around 60 fps at highest settings) I the I get this much fps because of the 16 gb ram. I tried to get as much white parts for ssd to make it look cool. I want to upgrade my cpu cooler to kraken x62 just for aestethic purposes. if you have any suggestions on my pc or any other questions just ask:)

Nice looking build. I'm amazed that the 7600K is still over 200 bucks, based on the fact that it's a 4-core, 4-thread part. Im sure it still performs well based on the high clock speeds, but I would expect it to be much cheaper.

It's a good pairing with the 1060 3GB, though I'm sure you could upgrade without the 7600K becoming a bottleneck. If you're at all concerned with the performance of your system, I'd upgrade your GPU before blowing a ton of cash on an AIO. You didn't mention whether or not your chip is overclocked, so I'm assuming it's not, but that 212 in push-pull is probably perfectly adequate at stock. Also, you can get RX 580 8GB cards for not much more about 250 right now. There's a Gigabyte Aorus model on Amazon for 249.99.

I did over clock base for 7600k is 3.8hz I overclocked it to 4.6hz. I had overclocked t to 4.8hz but it reaches to low 80c so I lowerd it down. The rx 580 is a gtx 1060 equivalent. So I would rather upgrade to a 1080 strix because so it can last longer and don’t have to upgrade sooner

Yeah, this is a good point. The 580 is on par with the 1060 6GB, so you'd see some performance boost but the 1080 is a much better upgrade. I'm sure you get great performance with that OC.

This PC build looks really nice on the aesthetic side. What case did you use for the hard drive and ssd?

monrroy submitter 1 Build 1 point 8 months ago

What do you mean what case I used for hardrive and ssd?

Sagacious 1 point 8 months ago

Where did you put your hard drive and ssd on this? Isn't it on the front? Or is it hidden behind? (Edit) Ok the kind of slab by the glass was the hue controller, but my original question remains

monrroy submitter 1 Build 1 point 8 months ago

My hard drive is under the psu shroud and the ssd is on top, next to the NZXT hue plus

Sagacious 1 point 8 months ago

Did you put anything on the ssd? Like a kind of skin or something?

monrroy submitter 1 Build 1 point 8 months ago

Yes I did. I put a 3D carbon fiber wrap on the ssd. There’s 11 colors to choose from and I bought the sample size, that’s enough to cover the ssd. Best of all it’s $3.

12 second boot time is pretty good. My friend got 10s with a samsung evo m.2 1tb ssd and those are the best on the market rn

monrroy submitter 1 Build 1 point 8 months ago

I was watching ed from tech soure on his newest videos he is upgrading builds and he is using the Samsung 970 Evo and his boot time is about the same as mine. That’s why I’m not sure weather to buy it or not

Mine is about 9s with a m.2. I dont think the extra money is worth 3 sec.

If your looking to upgrade your gpu and get something to look very nice with your colors this https://pcpartpicker.com/product/jZJkcf/asus-geforce-gtx-1060-6gb-dual-video-card-dual-gtx1060-o6g would look great!

monrroy submitter 1 Build 1 point 8 months ago

Lol I know about that card and i know it will look really good but the performance is a little better and the 3gb. I want to take a bigger leap. But the only white card I see is the 1080 ti gaming oc and that’s out of my budget:( or I could also get the 1080 armor from MSI

This looks great! Is there a reason you have two Corsair regular case fans and two NZXT RGB fans? Could you just go down to the RGB fans?

monrroy submitter 1 Build 2 points 8 months ago

if I were to get the aer fans from nzxt for the front, I wouldn't be able to see the rgb because you can only see the lights from one side( (exhaust) outside if I remove the front panel) but the corsair fans the light can be seen from both sides of the fan.(and plus, the aer fans are $35 for 140mm each)
