Upgraded my build from 2015 which had an i5 6600k and GTX 970. I kept my Corsair 450D case, Corsair 750W power supply, and Samsung 850 EVO 250GB SSD.
I play Destiny 2 and Battlefield V at 3440x1440 pretty much max settings and get at least 80 fps consistently with this setup. I love the Benq EX3501R as an elite casual gamer. G-Sync works great. I chose the 2070 SUPER over the 5700 XT because of the Modern Warfare bundle which I was going to buy anyways, making the 2070 SUPER worth the extra money for me.
No overclock on the CPU. My GPU overclock is +50 MHz core clock and +500 MHz at 116% power limit.
I have the memory running at 3200 CL14. I tried 3600 CL16 but that was not stable in games.
The H100i PRO I got as an RMA replacement for my H100i GTX from my last build which was starting to fail so I just paid $35 for return shipping.
I was able to update the BIOS on the MSI B450 Gaming Pro Carbon to work with Ryzen 3000 no problem.
The RGB fans, lighting strips, and cable extensions I got from Amazon. I also got some carbon fiber vinyl wrap and a piece of aluminum sheet metal to make a power supply shroud. I also covered the Gigabyte logo on the 2070 SUPER with carbon fiber.
