Description

It’s been a little over a year since I originally built my computer. I had it in the Phanteks P400s but wasn’t really crazy about some of the temps I was getting. I figured my tax return and birthday was as good a time as any to make a little update. Decided to go with the new Phanteks P600s (which is amazing btw). I also wanted to display my graphics card a bit more because I like the shroud on the EVGA 1080, plus it matches the mesh on the case. Even though the case has a vertical mount, the CableMod bracket puts the card in a perfect position to be cooled by the front fans.

Case

Amazing case to build in. Plenty of space for cable management. The removable front and top panels give you the option for a silent machine without too much effect on temps (at idle at least) or they can be removed to expose the fabric mesh for excellent air flow. The grey looks awesome with the black accents.

Yeah the p400s ( is the one im using right now with an 8700k and 1080ti ) has really bad airflow, i might do a case swap in the future because the only way to keep a 5GHz OC at the moment is fans at 100%.

Nice blue/black build +1

Thanks! I originally had my 8700k at 5GHz but backed it down to 4.8. I might give 5.0 another shot with the new case.

If you are thinking of a case swap, I highly recommend checking out the p600. The interior is the same as the Evolve X but you get better airflow and its cheaper. Plus you have the option for silence like the p400.
