1st build ever. I Started with the most expensive everything then came back to earth and reality. I chose a gigabyte motherboard because of a recommendation on CareyHolzman’s YouTube video, and I stuck with Gigabyte throughout the whole process. I watched how to use PCPARTPICKER on CaryHolzman’s YouTube channel a guy named Paul Ayala made....thanks! Thanks to “Tech Deals”, YouTube channel I chose the i7-8700. (Side note...as he says. ...the i7-8700K became available on newegg thru his YouTube links and I jumped on it and didn't look back) I don’t overclock so why waste $. ( Who knows? I might try overclocking now that I can.) Linus Tech Tips on YouTube taught me about everything and so did CareyHolzman. NO help from forums and emails to Gigabyte...they are useless. The Tech community on YouTube are awesome! I’m still waiting for an answer from gigabyte about the QVL MEMORY LIST....some were highlighted in yellow...most were not. (3 weeks later I got a completely useless answer from Gigabyte) I watched hundreds of build videos on YouTube so my CASE choice was easy. BIG...Plenty of room..So I chose the CORSAIR 750D Airflow. At this time I'm using a DELL VOSTRO 420 with windows XP as I'm writing this. I have 5 external hard drives attached and 14 printers attached thru usb and USB hubs. This has been a great computer.....time for an upgrade. Crap I deleted my description, trying to put in paragraphs....I'll have to fix it later.....more to come.

This whole build started cause I have an old awesomeness graphics card that I wanted to build around. NVIDIA Quadro FX 4700x2. I bought a new card but someday I will put that expensive Quadro in the new build to see how it does.
I got all my components in and I was terrified to start....OMG..what if it doesn't work? I had the parts for about a week getting up the courage.

It WORKS! I did the power on self test just connected to the motherboard and it worked! Wow....it's beautiful..

The stupid windows 10 key I paid a lot of $CAKE for at NEWEGG didn't work. Boy was that a bummer. My beautiful new $3000.00 computer had ugly white writing across the bottom.....you need to activate....I was devastated ! A week later and a lot of time, they made it right. NEVER BUY A DIGITAL KEY....ALWAYS BUY A COPY.

Walmart had an awesome deal on the western digital black 4 TB...

Black Friday I got the SSD 1TB at NEWEGG. REG$350.00 for $280.00.

I took my time building this computer. I would stop if I wasn't 100% sure of the next step.

The NZXT cooler is beautiful, but I bought a fan CPU cooler also because the reviews were so terrible I couldn't take the chance.

Thank you PC part picker! I could not have made my beautiful computer without your help. Thanks 4 letting me show off my accomplishment. Till we meet again!

June16,2019 Just added 32 gigs ram...so I'm maxed at 64gigs ram.(pictures at the end of pictures). I also added TWO SAMSUNG SSD 2TB.....so now.. I can only add a M.2 PCIE (PCIE ONLY )cause I have no SATA ports left. If you use a sata m.2... it uses the 0 sata spot...but PCIE USES PCIE BANDWIDTH.

Nice build. You would have been fine with a mid tower case tho. In case world big is not always better lol. But it's awesome for a first time.

Yeah....the parts do add up fast.....$4,000.00 was the first ...the graphics card is what I cut back on the most and the ssd’s and the M.2 wow..they are expensive.

Everything is so expensive that I dont have a monitor or graphics card. I play on my tv with integrated graphics. I should have spent less on the computter itself LOL, oh well. My budget was originally $850 but I managed to slip in some other nice stuff over the budget.

I had read some bad reviews on the Kraken, so I went ahead and bought a normal cooler in case for backup....

jeez man, did you replace the coolant from the x62 with liquid helium or something. that is one heck of an overclock on that chip. +1

I may have made a mistake. When writing the text I went by the NZXT cooler software CAM. I Actually have no idea if that was correct and now I have no time to learn about over clocking. Sorry..probably should move the point...
