Description

My First Ever Successful PC Build! Everything is Free except for the motherboard.

This was started August 18, 2017. I wanted to build a computer out of spare parts that actually worked, because every build before that was a fail. I built the old version, and installed Windows XP, Which took almost an hour because of the slow IDE hard drive.

I used to have the power button in the front, with a piece of metal covering part of the hole in the case. The bottom disc drive was different and was a Lite-On LTR-52327S. I later updated it, moving the power button to the back, replacing the bottom disc drive, and adding a modem.

I currently use it for messing around with, and it will soon be a worksation computer.

Wow. What to say. But......I like it.....REALLY! I love doing that stuff too with the old parts. It's kinda fun to see if it actually will work. Yikes, haven't used a modem like that in eons (since Compuserve and AOL). And those ribbon and multi colored cables......brings back fond memories. Shouldn't that MB be able to handle at least 1 or 2GB of memory (3 for Windows XP?). Will make that thing blazing! :)

Anyway, very nice job in my opinion. You get my +1!
