My Deadpool build

by 647chang

First and for most I like to thank everyone at PCpart Picker. This is my first build, this site and the people helped me a lot. This all started out when I went into the Microsoft store and saw the LG ultrawide they had on display. I started to do some research on ultrawide. I knew this monitor (Acer X34) was the one. The monitor I got is the XR341CK bmijpphz (freesync) and not the Acer Predator. PCpartpicker only has the Acer Predator to select from on their list. Amazon had it for $888 with free shipping, the wait was over, I had to jump on that deal. I wanted to build a PC that was just powerful enough to drive this monitor. This is mainly my work station. I do most of my gaming on my PS4. Will most likely slowly move over to PC gaming.

Part Reviews

What can I say, best bang for the buck. 4 stars because its not an i7

Had no issues with it. Easy overclocking, very friendly bios interface. First time building a PC. I had a lot of questions, called MSI, was never on hold more then a min. Their staff is very knowledgeable.

Was only able to overclock them to 2800 without crashing my PC. I could have gotten a back one.

Nice cable management. Very easy to work with. I love the look, and the lights are a plus. 4 stars because its not as quiet as I thought.

Operating System

Not a big fan of Windows 10, so I went back to Windows 8.1. Could be better if they just got rid of the stupid tiles BS. Maybe Windows 9?

Minus one star because it's not an i7? What kind of reason is that for docking a star, really...

You got to hold the one star back, because you know there is something better. You can't be a judge and give 10 to the first contestant.

That's like giving 2nd place to the guy who got 1st in the Olympics because he didnt break a world record...

You've got an H7 cooler but list a C7 I believe. Great looking build man.

Hey windows 10 gives better Gaming performance with DX12. I heard about that. Am I right?

sirnicko1 1 point 37 months ago

You need W10 to play using DX12, it's the GPU that willl determine the DX12 performance

This is mainly my work computer, we all agree over here at the office that Windows 10 suck. If this was used for gaming, I would totally rock Windows 10.

I think Windows 10 is great. So much better than W8/8.1. To me it's Windows 7 but with the style of 8. But each to their own :)

Nice! check out my build pretty much the same theme. Only thing I would recommend is to buy some red extension cable sleeves, they make a huge difference. I want to put a nice decal of red dead redemption on my rig, where did you get that dead pool decal?

647chang submitter 1 Build 1 point 37 months ago

Wow, just saw your build. Pretty much the same build, I really need to get those cables sleeved now. I got the dead pool decal on ebay.

First, i think it was really nice for you to give a shout out to the community here. That is why a lot of us do what we do.

I also like the small bit of personal touch you did with the case.

Overall very sweet build.

Hi there, sweet build..... This might be a noob question, but where is the USB 3.0 header on the motherboard for the front 2x USB 3.0 headers on the case?

Whats the issue with your ram? How couldnt u get 3000mhz?

647chang submitter 1 Build 1 point 36 months ago

I'm not sure, I was happy at 2800, so I just left it. When I try to clock to 3000 the PC will boot for 1 sec and then crash and goes into BIOS.

CoachChad 1 point 27 months ago

Damn dude! That's one of the nicest builds I've seen. Great job!
