Description

This is my first build and it was very successful, all the parts snapped in and the hardest part was putting the back panel on at the end. The only reason I named this "Zebra" was because it was black, white, and I didn't have any other name for it ¯(ツ)/¯. The Quicksilver GTX 1070 looks sick in this build, along with the NZXT Kraken x62 and the Corsair Vengeance LED RAM. To me, all these things fit together very nicely. Well, that's it, I don't really know what else to say other than, "Build Description (What do you use the machine for? What worked well? Any problems?)" so ask stuff in the comments! Thanks

*and this is a repost because I think the completed builds stopped refreshing, so it never got shown. Or its just me.

How difficult was it to take apart the heatsink to paint your gpu? I'm thinking about getting an MSI card and doing the exact same thing

The quicksilver version comes in white

It's more of a silver unfortunately, I thought about getting that model but I want to stick to my strictly black/white themed build, which is why I was wondering

True, but if you have white LEDs at the top, it might reflect it off of the backplate and make it mores white. I don't know, it's just a suggestion

If only MSI didn't include their edgy red logo in the quicksilver card, but +1 anyways

I think the red accent fits. You can turn off the lighting on each part if you don't like it.

Yeah but it ruins the consistency imo

I'm always a sucker for black and white builds! Very clean, great job for a first time build! Clearly took your time and thought it out.

Does the silver fit in well with the black/white theme? I'm thinking about buying that exact same graphics card but I'm hesitant because of the color scheme

Definitely, the silver backplate fits perfectly along with the white LEDs too

I agree silver goes well with a black and white theme. I have the EVGA 1070 and silver chess pieces and they look well with the white X of the board, cables and cooler. So go for it mate

I would go with evga instead. But do what you want

I forgot to put in there, I used to use a laptop for my games and video editing (which neither worked that well), and I rendered a 10 minute 1080p video and it took about 2 hours. I tried it on this computer and it took 6 minutes :)

Sweet PC dude A++

White pc builds always remind me of the planet Hoth from Star Wars for some reason . I have no idea why lol

Dude if you were gonna pay that much money why didn't you choose a 1080 ti or a normal 1080

I wanted to get a 7700k for video editing, and didn't need the BEST card.

Is that some kind of cable sleeve coming out the back for your i/o cables? If so which one?

There a just some cheap zip up cable sleeves off of amazon. I got them for $5 and there's a pack of five

That would be ideal for just gaming, but I am also doing some video editing too, so that's where the 7700k comes in
