Here is my recent YouTube video that I have uploaded on this build. Just know that there will be another one sometime next week with the 8700 K processor and a GTX 1080 TI. Also the 8700 K will have a noctua cooler to keep it cool.
I mainly use this machine for gaming. In the future, i will be upgrading this pc on both the cpu and gpu. Once the next gen GTX releases, that will be the main go to card. The current GPU i have isn't mine. I am currently borrowing it in the meantime since my friend was nice enough to let me use it as long it's used for gaming and simple tasks. Cpu is currently OC 5.0ghz at 1.352v. Will change once cpu is upgraded.
I also do plan on delidding the core i7-8700k once i get it soon and update this list thoroughly. This case was finally released and it does support liquid cooling AIO as long its 120mm. I got my hands on the new Corsair H60 (2018) AIO and i can verify it fits just fine with no issues. Although i replaced the sp120 fan with my ML120 Pro RGB fan for better looks and performance. The fans i have here are all Corsair ML120 Pro RGB (4x). Great choice and i believe to be best used in this case since Inwin A1 has a tempered side glass panel that can be easily removed with the 2 knobs. Sadly the H60 cooler isn't rgb since it only has white leds. The only exhaust fan is used on the radiator pushing air out from in. The other 3 are intakes. Also one to note is that the intake fan in the rear (behind my megaman amiibo) has a custom cut mesh to prevent dust from getting inside. Since the weird cutout from the rear panel has alot of open vents but easily brings dust. So putting a mesh will help keep dust out and easily maintainable.
The motherboard is kinda eh. It would be best used in a smaller case like Dan A4 SFX since it only has a cpu_fan and sys_fan port. I had to use a 4 way pwm fan splitter and not hub (will explain why in a bit) to connect all 4 fans into sys_fan port. The cpu_fan port is being used by H60 AIO pump. I would rather aim for Asus ROG z370i since it has multiple fan ports AND a dedicated AIO pump header. Reason why i went with MSI because it is RGB friendly...except for the Mystic Light Software. Its not so much easy to connect the included rgb strip from case into the port. It works ok but not so much great with gskill rgb ram. The fans i got came with the lightning node pro controller and is being controlled by Corsair CUE software for better rgb controlling. So i should have went with ROG z370i since i don't really use the rgb ports on the motherboard from msi.
The gpu is ok in the meantime for 1080p gaming. I recently bought AGON 3440x1440p gsync monitor (refresh) because it has 120hz and 2500:1 contrast. The previous model has 100hz and 2000:1. So i am some what future proofing and i know that i am getting the new GTX 1180/2080 that releases later this year or early next year. I might just get 1080 in the meantime if the next gen releases next year. Inwin A1 case do support full sized GPU as long its a s slot. Some gpu are 2.5 slots so that wont do. I would highly recommend an intake gpu since the fans below it are intake. So more air from the bottom will cool the gpu better.
This case does include a 600w power supply but i might consider replacing it with Corsair SF600w since it is much smaller and gives a slight bit of room around the psu for cable manegement (hiding cables easier). As far for the PSU, the only iffy about it is that it has 3 sata power ports. So i would recomment getting a splitter if using the included psu and have more power connectors. I did this because the AIO uses sata power for the pump, the lightning node pro needs sata power for rgb (takes 2), and if you have 2.5 inch drives, that will also need sata power of course. Other than that, cable management is about 8.5/10 as shown in pics. I managed to get it done and organized it best way i can. It can be done better but i rather not do all the work again. The 4 way pwm fan hub/splitter doesn't need sata power since its just using a sys_fan port. The fans are .219A and 4 of them are below 1A, so its safe. I had a fan hub but it uses a sata power and i only have 5 spots.
Other than that, this case is great! Been waiting for it for months and well worth it. The Qi charging is not being used at the moment since i have a google pixel 2 phone. Hopefully the next gen has wireless charging so i can utilize that feature to recharge as i game on pc. Thermals are great but i will not post any right now until i get the 8700k delided. I have the whole kit and will use liquid metal for the die and considering that new graphite thermal pad between IHS and copper plated H60. I am just deciding whether to just undervolt or overclock.
