Description

First Build :DDD

matte black color scheme

Primary uses (besides general use): gaming, tiny bit of video editing

Prior to building this, I was on a "gaming" laptop that ran BF4 @30 frames on low graphics settings and the Witcher 3 @20 frames on low graphics settings. Now, I can run BF4 at high enough frames to utilize my 144hz monitor and the Witcher 3 at 60+ fps on its highest settings.

I had to decide whether or not to include clearer pictures with a lot of glare on the tempered glass window or slightly fuzzy ones in the dark without glare. (photos without the glass window were included to compensate)

Most of these parts were purchased around the Black Friday/Cyber Monday weekend, so I was able to cram quite a bit into my ~1200$ budget

CPU set to 4.5GHz @1.337 volts

Part Reviews

CPU Cooler

Keeps my 6600k at 46-47 ° C under load when clocked @4.5GHz....very quiet....80 bucks...not much more I could ask for

Motherboard

looks nice and had a clean & easy to use bios that made overclocking my CPU and setting my RAM speed very easy

Memory

very sleek and easy to set to 3000MHz in the bios

Storage

I boot in 5 seconds. Transferring files is many times faster than when using the old 128GB Kingston SSD I had in my laptop.

Case

high quality materials; cable management was very easy; tempered glass panel is super smexy in person (way better than in pictures)

Power Supply

650w & bronze with sleek/high-quality cables for only 60 bucks

Wireless Network Adapter

Extremely easy to set up; solid connection; black

What is the name of that desk

It's an IKEA desk that I believe goes by the name of Bekant. However, the version on the IKEA website seems to have had an upgrade in materials. Therefore, the combined table top and legs/support system are more than twice the price they had been previously.

I read a little more and realized they added an electric height adjustment mechanism. It may still be possible to find the version I got.

Would it work if I replaced the Mobo with: MSI Z170A SLI PLUS ATX LGA1151 Motherboard and if I replaced the Graphics Card with: Corsair Vengeance LPX 16GB (2 x 8GB) DDR4-3000 Memory

Stupid question but I wanna be sure, is the NZXT S340 Elite (Black) ATX Mid Tower Case same as the NZXT S340 Elite (Black/Red) ATX Mid Tower Case?

That is the exact same motherboard in my build. Also, you are asking if you should replace the graphics card with the RAM I am using. I hope you misspoke. Otherwise, I would recommend doing some more personal research before doing your own build. And yes, the color of the case does not change it. If you have a budget, feel free to tell me what that amount is, and I can help you out. We don't want you sticking a ram stick in a PCI-E slot.

Omg how did I fail that much!! xD

I wanted to ask if i can replace Mobo with: MSI Z170-A PRO ATX LGA1151 Motherboard And the GPU with: EVGA GeForce GTX 1060 6GB 6GB SC GAMING Video Card

-Sorry for that huge typo! :P

Edit: GPU change to: EVGA GeForce GTX 1060 6GB 6GB SSC GAMING Video Card or EVGA GeForce GTX 1060 6GB 6GB SC GAMING Video Card
