Description

Hi guys!

So I started out with a G4560 and a evga 1050 Ti back in april 2017. Allthough I soon realized the dual core and the 1050 Ti weren't enough for me. Don't get me wrong.. they are good parts but I wanted more. So I got a 1080 ti and a locked i7 7700 since i had a b250 motherboard anyway and didn't want to spend even more on a Z270 motherboard. The 100r from corsair is a nice case but it didn't really give me a "high end" feel. I fell in love with the fans from Enermax after I saw a video of them on youtube. The only downside is that they are custom 6 pin connectors and not 4 pin pwm. So you need to plug them into a fan hub that comes with the 6 pack. But I bought them anyway because they look so gorgeous [EDIT]. I also managed to grab some extensions from cable mod while they were on sale. And last week I ordered the in win 303 and the noctua cooler. The In Win is a really nice case but a nightmare to build in it. The HDD and SSD bay are so closely mounted to the case that if you have an L shaped Sata power connector you wont be able to plug them into the SSD or the HDD without breaking the connectors. And there are NO cable tie down points in the case. I mean.. cmon In win.. I expected better from a brand that makes some cases that cost well over 1000 bucks. But it just looks sooo good with the enermax fans. The build looks just epic in my opinion.

if you have questions let me know

cheers, Lobster

EDIT: I took the enermax fans out.. they are garbage.. after 3 months3 of the 6 fans started to make a rattling noise.. bought noctua fans now

Part Reviews

CPU Cooler

Expensive but cools the CPU well. Idle temps are quite high at 42C but I think thats because the intake from the bottom is blocked by the video card and no cool air gets pushed directly to the cooler. That way the CPU cooler recycles the hot air from the GPU. During gaming the CPU goes never over 64C ish. So that makes me think that its because of the restricted airflow.

Case

Looks beatiful but there are no cable tie down points.. and l shaped sata power connectors wont fit since the drive mounts are mounted so closely to the case. And the Airflow for the CPU is quite bad. Taking the side panel off reduces cpu temps by at least 5°C.

Wireless Network Adapter

Works great! No issues whatsoever and the installation process was really easy

Case Fan

Great but way too expensive over here in switzerland

This is actually insane compared to the older builds

Thank you very much :D I put a lot of work into it. I actually got a summer job last year just to be able to buy new PC parts. Just shows what you are able to do when you build your systems yourself :D

Have you had any problems with the enermax fans? Such as grinding/rubbing noises? Im considering them, but I see that is a common problem.

Actually I do. Allthough they look gorgeous I would not buy them.. Two fans already started to have a rattling noise. Unfortunately I can't recommend them.

Are you gonna sell the pentium and 1050ti?

Gona keep the pentium since its my first CPU i bought.. the 1050 Ti is currently in my brothers rig. Why do you ask?

Why do you have 8 fans??????

I have 7. 3 Intake fans in the bottom, 3 exhaust on the top and an additional exhaust in the back. And Why? it would just look stupid with RGB fans when only half of the fan slots are occupied. ;)

Hello, how's the GTX 1080 Ti doing in terms of temperatures? Asking this since I also want to buy 7 fans for this case, but some people haven't been recommending this case due to "poor airflow". What was the max temp of the 1080 Ti in a stress test? I also have a RoG card I would put in this case (rtx 2060). Thanks in advance! -keslo

The case definitely has poor airflow concerning the CPU. The locked i7 regularly hits 75 C during gaming even when setting a more aggressive CPU fan curve in the bios. GPU wise its fine since you have 3 fans blasting air directly at it. I don't know specific temps but temps are definitely acceptable. And the 2060 is for sure a cooler card since it pulls less power. I think you'll be totally fine. Sorry for taking so long to answer..
