Description

Hello all, I'd like to introduce you to SNOWBALL 2.0. this build has been a long time coming and this is the latest iteration. I use it exclusively for gaming/web browsing. What started out as a small $500 budget rig has evolved into this. I know i needed to upgrade from my old fx 8350 system ( check it out here ) and Ryzen was the stepping stone i needed. I didn't wanna break the bank with this build so i spent a lot of waiting for sales, using Facebook Marketplace, craigslist ect. By doing so i was able to save quite a bit.

The build process itself was rather straight forward and everything worked right out of the box. I will say to anyone interested in getting the Core P3, TAKE YOUR TIME. I could've saved half an hr in build time had i took my time and thoroughly examined the manual on how to put it together.

The Ryzen 1600x paired with the 1080ti performs very well for my needs. I enjoy playing many AAA titles such as GTA V, Assassins Creed, BF1, FO4, Farcry 5, and Destiny 2 among others. Playing on an ultrawide is an incredibly immersive gaming experience, I cant go back 16:9 now lol.

I doubt i will be able to do much more with this build as I'm getting married in October! Please tell me what you guys think, and thanks for being such an awesome community!

Looks awesome! I was considering the predator x34 but that monitor is nice and white. Do you have any complaints about it? Also where did you purchase?

No complaints what so ever! I bought it used off reddit r/hardwareswap. I couldn't pass up such an excellent deal. if i were to be really nit-picky, it does occasionally make noises after being powered off. Imagine the sound of someone stepping on snow. Regardless, I would definitely check out Viotek as a cheaper alternative.

For the fans I used a ceramic engine enamel like this one. For the ram and gpu shroud I used white plastidip

Wow that is super clean, and you have a ton of storage too. Ill be building my P3 Snow this weekend and I definitely want that LED backlighting now having seen yours. Also what kind of paint did you use? It looks clean. Ive used plastidip in the past and wasnt happy with the results.
