Description

Running Ubuntu 15.10 off of this machine right now as i don't have the money for windows right now. There was only 1 problem with the computer itself, the 24 pin is finicky and sometimes gets weird and i have to open the case to re situate the 24 pin for the computer to work.

Got this computer after my ps4 broke ( BLOD ) i ended up building it for some gaming to replace my ps4.

case is terrible though, don't buy it. keyboard and mouse are great for their price.

The best part of the PSU are the toes on picture 3. Those must have cost a lot. That why you couldn't get windows. I am just kidding Good build overall. Enjoy and keep us posted when you upgrade it.

the toes were really expensive, they costed about 200 each sorry icouldnt put the cost of those inthe parts list, there was no section for bodyparts

Ubuntu isn't that bad. It's faster than windows but sadly programs don't like it. Al my computers in my house dual boot windows and linux.

Yeah, I've heard bad things about DIYPC cases.

+1 for Ubuntu! We'd love to see the inside of your case though!

If you don't mind me asking, how well does it run most games and on what setting? If you can would you be able to tell me what you get on CS:GO, Half life 1 and 2, and portal 1 and 2? Or you can just give me an estamate because i am considering buying this build!

it runs all game great csgo at about 250 fps. and then it runs the division at around 80fps. if you were to be just playing valve games it would be a bit overkill

That's a great price for the power, but that PSU needs to go, change it to a SeaSonic, XFX , antec, Silverstone, EVGA B2/G2/GS/P2

In the same situation, psu can wait haha. I am trying to build a similar build, debating on just buying an 8350 or not....then again its not necessary with a gtx 960...

one thing im hoping will level the playing field is the new amd processors running on am4, max tdp of 65w ddr4 and zen architecture

It is fine for his needs. He isn't stressing it too hard.

Then again depending on how much he overclocks his 6300, he might need a higher wattage unit.

right now sitting at 3.8 ghz with stock cooler, the cpu is running cool and quiet still

why would you say the psu would have to go, besides the ugly 24 pin its from a reputable brand and is over my tdp
