This was my first computer build. I went for a sleek white build with a bit of black for contrast. I chose to not go all out on RGB/LEDs as to not break the bank. I went with the i5-9400F mainly because it was cheaper than its competitors at the cost of having no intregrated graphics; which I would never use anyways.
I had a tough time deciding on a CPU cooler but ultimately went with the H60 Liquid Cooler mainly for looks, and it does an absolutely amazing job and the fan is surprisingly pretty quiet.
I also went with the MSI Z390M for its support of numerous ram speeds as well as the fact that it comes with a wifi antenna and bluetooth (although I mainly use ethernet, the wifi is nice for when I'm visiting places that don't have the ports). I certainly could've gone cheaper on the SSD but I figured I'd go all out and I especially hated the load times for certain games on my old pc.
I absolutely loved the Antec sleeved cables. They look amazing and are really nice quality for their price. Definitely much better than the cheap looking cables included with the PSU.
Last of all was the fan extension cable which I used for the radiator fan since the cord wasn't long enough to reach the slot while still being tucked away on the backside of the case.
Performs absolutely spectacular, haven't even overclocked this yet and I'm already happy with it. Went for this solely for the exceptional price and I'd never use integrated graphics anyways so I was glad to save some money and lose a feature I'd never use.
It does a good job at cooling although the plate that gets installed on the back of the motherboard felt cheaply made, (it's entirely possible I got a bad batch for this) and the backplate didn't stay in place very well during install.
Love this motherboard, everything I could ask for plus a bit of RGB without being ridiculously expensive. The included wifi + bluetooth is nice too.
Got this because it was actually $2 cheaper than the 2666 MHz on Amazon so I figured why not get faster if it's less expensive.
Even poorly optimized games load insanely fast, I'm never the last one to load in anymore.
Can legitimately play every single game I own at any graphical settings I want and still get a solid 60 fps or more.
I went for the tempered glass version of the 275R and I'm wicked pleased with it. Although the holes they cut to allow you to screw the panel onto the case aren't exactly accurate, this case a breeze to work in and looks absolutely amazing. I chose this over an NZXT case solely because this had the two USB ports and a microphone and headphone jack on the front. I didn't want to have to buy a 2-1 cord for my headset (which would almost certainly reduce quality unless I wanted to pay extra for a high quality adapter), and I also like to charge other accessories from the front of the case.
Not really much to say about the PSU, it does its job with no issues.
Love these cables. Although notice that they're only EXTENSION cables and not modular cables. They're nice quality especially for the price. It's cheaper to go with these than buy a full-modular PSU and then get nice cables for that.
