Description

A fairly clean looking build for gaming, and other GPU intensive applications. Made around a month ago but only submitted now.

Part Reviews

CPU

Works great for the price and met all expectations. In hindsight, I should've gone for something with hyperthreading, but this works as advertised.

CPU Cooler

Great cooler which works well for the CPU. Gives great idle and load temps and under normal use, temps don't exceed 50 degrees.

Motherboard

Works fine for the CPU but I got the rev 2.0 board which is a largely cut down version of the original. Has three power phases instead of four and has a worse BIOS as well. (The older boards could apparently overclock k series chips).

Memory

Great, had no problems installing and is low profile so it didn't interfere with the CPU cooler.

Video Card

Fantastic card which works very well. Have not tried overclocking yet. Very stable (have used to mine altcoins) and also works well in games. Get great FPS with most of my games.

Case

Relatively good case, but only has one 120mm fan at the front. I have the claw white variant of the case which I can't seem to find outside of Australia. It also has a side panel window which is nice. Cable management was good and I had no problems fitting the side panels on and routing cables. The only complaint, however, is the F Audio cable which could be longer. I had to put it in front of the motherboard because the cable was too short.

Unfortunately, the included case fans are not so silent, even though this case is advertised as a silent one, but they do a good job of cooling on max RPM.

Power Supply

Stable and well-rounded power supply. Works great for the system. I took a gamble here as the GPU I had recommended a 650w power supply at the least but there don't seem to be any bottlenecks.

I swear that I thought the case was a fractal design case.

Huh, I've never seen that case before. Honestly thought it was Fractal at first. It has peaked my interest... Good build man! +1

Love the 390.

very nice clean build well done

Pushing the lower quality caps in that PSU pretty hard there. It shouldn't be an issue for now, but it will definitely not last as long as a bigger or better quality PSU.

what do you mean when you say you "got the rev 2.0 board" ?? does that mean you opted for a variation of this board? does it mean that the rev 2.0 is the only version of this board you can get now unless i go hunting for rev 1.0 specifically? please explain
