Description

Gaming computer. Easy to build. Enough room in the case to work around in. Everything worked at first boot up. Clocking CPU at 4 GHz(I'm a noob at overclocking). Ran stable at that speed during stress test. Made the optical drive hidden, so it uses the case face plate. Boots quick, games run smooth at high to ultra settings. I sure like it.

interesting color scheme to say the least...

But why the six core?

Colors do seem a little over the place. Like an electronic skittles rainbow.

Looks great, I like the PSU Shroud you made!

Ya, it's quite an ingenious idea to have one inside a corsair case.

Thank you. Since it has a window side panel, I was trying to hide the cables as much as I could.

dude i love this machine! but my only question is why the 5930k if you are not planning on doing 4-way sli?

Eventually i will do sli, but i was trying to stay in a budget.

4-way sli first off is wayyyy overkill. Second you can't even go 4-way with the 970. Third many people who use 6-cores don't even have 2-way, because they don't game as much.

and my point was that there is no point in getting a 5930k if you are not doing 4-way sli.

4-way sli is never needed. It's all for show. 5930k is useful for video editing and high CPU intensive stuff. The only reason for 4-way is for cyber currency mining or just cause you have money.

though there is no difference between the 5930k and 5820k besides the amount of pci-e lanes, so if he wasn't planning on using all of those, he could have saved $200 and gone with the 5820k.

Nice build +1. The only thing is that it gives me a heart attack every time I look at the picture when it sits that close to the edge of the desk lol/

Love the spirit in this build :D Though the FTW edition is a higher clock rate and not as much more than the SSC

I think the case should have the side panel window be shifted more to the left so whoever is looking at it gets a better look at the motherboard

Have you had any problems with the corsair link software for your water cooler?

came across this build, and I was wondering how you made the PSU shroud. I have the same case and was looking to do the same
