This is my first PC I built! All parts picked by me and was built on November 4, 2016. This was a little over our budget, but it was worth it. So tell me what you think! I might upgrade the GPU on November 4, 2017 in celebration for the PC's 1st birthday.
This CPU is a CPU that is great if you want better than skylake or kabylake. This is on the Haswell-E architecture and has 6 cores. Supports up to 64gb of ram. I found this at Fry's Electronics.
This is a GREAT CPU cooler. It supports 100% of all modern CPU sockets and is pretty quiet. It is also cheap and easy to install. I found this on walmart.com
I love this motherboard. It is only 4 stars because ASUS rushed it out the door and it needed a bios update right away. I really like the RGB lighting and the ease of use. Another con is that the USB 3.0 for the USB 3.0 ports on the front of the case is not supported by windows 10 so you need windows 7 for those. This also as very attractive SATA cables and a very user-friendly bios. This was found at Fry's Electronics.
This is amazing RAM. Not much to say other than the fact that it's very stable, it is a lot of space, and the day I got it it was only $240. It is also very nice and it's also a bit heavy. This was found on amazon.com
This is a great SSD. As drives become more advanced within boot time and stability, SSDs are the top choice for most modern day PCs. I chose this one because it has a reasonable amount of storage and was only $64.99 the day I bought it (October 30, 2016). It actually boots up quite fast; so fast that the loading bar doesn't even need to start. This was bought at Best Buy.
This is a HDD for the backup drive. I like western digital because thay are the cheapest and most reliable HDD manufacturer out there. It has a MBTF of about 6-7 years. 1TB is perfect for daily work/productivity backup. This was found at Best Buy.
I like this GPU because it is good for the money. (The day I bought it it was $109.99). EVGA is an official NVIDIA manufacturer making only NVIDIA cards. I picked this one because it had the best reviews and was the best I could find. This was found on newegg.com .
I had a hard time finding the perfect case for the money. This was a last minute, but wise choice. Since I had the Hyper 212 EVO finding a case that would fit it perfectly was as hard as picking between a medium or large fry at McDonalds. This is a nice casee with pre-installed stand-offs for the motherboard mount. The LEDs are also very bright and stunning. This was found on amazon.com and newegg.com .
