Decided to upgrade from my previous build, seen here: https://pcpartpicker.com/b/PkYJ7P
I believe practicality and beauty go hand in hand. Just too many companies out there manufacturing stripped down cases, and other key components in favor of appearance and minimalism. I set out to build a rig with an abundance of features and give it some cosmetic justice in the process.
Few interesting features:
Have 2x USB 3.1 ports on PCI card, onboard thunderbolt & PCI Express 3.0 x4 M.2 (32Gb/s) support
Onboard 802.11ac( AC1300) Wi-Fi & Bluetooth 4.0
ASUS OC Panel - Direct CPU Overclock utility & PWM LCD Touch screen fan controller
Everything is linked together with Corsair link, via AX760i PSU. (For those of you who are unaware of what it is, it detects almost every component in your build, showcasing power usage & temps).
I have remote controlled lighting installed, this time directly to PSU.
Multi SD card slot, additional 5 usb 3.0 port PCI card & Bluray reader/writer
Custom designed braided cables
Update 08/06/2015: A few weeks ago I had installed another 2 fans on my kraken x61 for a push/pull config. I had them laying around so I said why not :).
CPU is idle around 24-28C (depending on ambient. Usually my room ambiet is quite hot.) GPU idle is around 22-25C, and max load for single monitor is 43C and 46C for surround. (Tested with max settings on GTA V single monitor, got 60-61fps. Surround, I dumbed down the settings very little and obtained 48-50fps with surround.)
I'm happy with the results ;)
