Description

CPU: Intel 9900k

Motherboard: AsRock Taichi Ultimate

RAM: 64 GB Corsair Dominator DDR4 2666 mhz CL 15

Case: Phanteks Eclipse P600s

GPU: EVGA RTX 2080 Ti XC w/ EKWB RTX 2080 Ti RGB waterblock and backplate

Storage: 2x Samsung 970 Evo 2TB NVMe 3x Samsung 860 Evo 4TB SSD

PSU: EVGA 1000 G3

This system was built for high-end video editing, music engineering, and 4K gaming. It was designed to be fully watercooled with little required maintenance, making use of acetal blocks and pump tops along with EKWB's Zero Maintenance Tubing (ZMT) and Mayhems X1 clear coolant. If you're looking for the performance and silence of watercooling without the troublesome maintenance, this is an ideal set up.

The waterblocks are from EK and Watercool for the GPU and the CPU respectively. The pump combo is a D5 in a Singularity Computers pump top and reservoir. The radiators are from Hardware Labs in the 30mm thin class and the fittings are a combination of EK and Bitspower. The Phanteks Eclipse p600s case is built for watercooling, with fantastic radiator capacity and dedicated drain and fill ports included.

The full custom PSU wires were made in house from 16AWG wire and MDPC-X Carbon BTI sleeving.

WOOW, that’s one of the best PC builds that i’ve ever seen, and i’ve seen a lot. Cable management so satisfying to look at (T-T) i’m digging the black and grey color scheme, it looks so cool.

If I may ask, Can you control the case RGB with Asrock polychrome software?

This build is so ******* cleeeeeaaaaaaan. Dude, you seriously have some cable management skills there.

  • 1 point

It helps when you build the cables yourself! I think they’re still a little long but I wanted some slack just in case.

  • 2 points

Man, that's incredible, building them yourself. How difficult was it to do that?

It’s more tedious than difficult but worth the effort.

Hi,

How is the motherboard performance/reliability so far ? is it stable?

Thanks,

what about dust?

i really like the custom wires and great build though.

  • 1 point

Dust isn't much of a problem in the Phanteks P600S. There's plenty of mesh to catch dust.

The test bench is just an extra photo I wanted to post because I really liked the look of the LEDs on the EVGA 2080 Ti cooler. Dust is more of a concern for a test bench but way easier to deal with, plus I am swapping parts on and off of it often.

Dust will still inevitably get in.

So I don't need to change the water ever again?

I’d be willing to wager that the main components will be upgraded before the loop needs to be flushed.

Ima call this the dominatrix

  • 2 points

I thought the name wording was an oxymoron, but I'd have to agree that since you aren't really adding crazy solutions to the water then should be low maintenance.

  • 1 point

Yeah of course there will have to be maintenance eventually, but with acetal blocks, pump tops, and ek’s ZMT (zero maintenance tubing) I believe this configuration could last a few years without draining. Thankfully this case has a built in drain port and emptying the loop is very easy.

I like your choice. I hope to do same with black tubing.

Really nice to see more Zero-Maintenance watercooling builds. After starting out with plexi blocks and clear tubing, then some hard tubing, all my new builds are ZMT + Acetal + Nickel fittings.

  • 2 points

why can't the zmt be clear?

  • 1 point

Unfortunately to make tubing flexible you either need this kind of rubber or clear tube with plasticizer. Unfortunately, plasticizer tends to leech slowly into coolant over time and needs to be replaced after 10-12 months. This tubing won’t break down at all regardless of the coolant you use.

5.1 at 1.32 vcore. The vrms on this board are lacking compared to the z370 Taichi but they’re still enough to supply the power needed for an oc’d 9900k. The cooling is also adequate. But I wouldn’t choose this board for extreme overclocking with Ln2
