Description

Note: The leds look like blue however in person they are clearly white. I only have my phone to take pictures so they are not the best pictures.

Not overclocking 6600k yet. Dont feel like I have to and I dont wanna lower it life span lol. Really happy with how this turned out, just wished my 1070 was white or had leds. Feedback and questions always welcomed.

"just wished my 1070 was white"

Paint your 1070 then. There are lots of guides out there to how to paint gpu. But keep in mind that you will void your warranty.

Yeah I was thinking about that, but it would void a warranty and that sucker was expensive. Rather not have to cough up another 400$ for a gpu

Like the white/black build +1

Would be nice to see a backplate on the gpu!

I did a overclock with my 6600K. Its easy and I didnt mess that much with the Volts. Free preformance? :D

Take the time to set the white extended cables nice straight :$

Well let me be the first to ask why did you switch and what was your previous AMD setup?

If you look at my completed builds you can see my amd build, it was a crap FX 6300 cpu. I switched because AMD bottlenecks the hell out of 1070s and 1080s, and I figured since i could afford it, I might as well go all out and full on switch to intel. From my knowledge intel cpus are all around better than AMD. The best amd cpu can barely keep up with an older intel cpu. That is until Zen comes out.

Then why just go i5?

i5 6600k still alot better than fx 6300 lol. And all im doing is gaming, I dont need a powerhouse of a cpu like an i7 extreme lol

Hey, I'm thinking about switching as well, once my fund for Zen gets big enough. (And if Zen isn't out by the the end of Q1 next year, I will. :( )

I am waiting. This build is awesome no doubt. Going to let some early adopters pave the way. Got too much tied up right now.

Great case work! +1

You won't lower the lifespan al all unless you overvolt, from experience I would say would could get a fair amout of Mhz out without overvolting, even because you have a good cpu cooler (and 6600k overclock pretty nicely)!

Ill keep that in mind. I just feel like for gaming, its not very necessary

Nice solid build, I like how you didn't put all of your money on your CPU like most people do and actually put majority towards the graphics card. Nice balance of parts. What color scheme did you go for though? Kind of hard to tell in the pictures.

Yeah the reflection in the glass is annoying, Ill post a pic of the pc on without the side panel, but I went with purely white and black

You can see at the bottom of the part list it is 1230$ I may have gotten it a little cheaper just because of sales but not much cheaper. If you were to get one like this, Id dial down the cpu a little and maybe get a 970
