This is my new system build primarily for editing and gaming.
Based on the best kit I can afford with the intention to future proof the system for as long as is practically possible!
The main components are the Intel 5820K, running with 32GB of Vengeance LPX RAM and a 400GB Intel 750 SSD. All this is on the MSI x99s SLI plus motherboard and finished off with an EVGA Titan X SC card.
The display is a Dell 34" U3415W Ultra Wide monitor. Not fussed about 4k as this monitor is all about immersion and productivity without any scaling issues to address.
The case is a NZXT H440 (blue/black) with an EVGA G2 750W PSU (no SLI planned for the future). I'm using a NZXT Kraken X41 for CPU cooling. Also adding an NZXT LED light set. I used the Bit Fenix extension cables (silver) and E22 cable combs to give a the tidy look.
I am also fitting two WD 3TB green drives in Raid 1 for media storage. I also have a Crucial 120GB SSD from my old PC which will become a scratch drive (possibly).
Aerocool DS fans (3 x 120mm intake @12V, 2 x 140mm top exhaust @7V).
Based on a blue/black/silver theme which is my preferred colour scheme.
Benchmark temperatures taken from when running 3Dmark Firestrike (Steam demo edition).
CPU overclocked to 3.8Ghz. RAM running at 2666Mhz via XMP profile.
