Finally went ahead and pulled the trigger, upgraded from i7 4790. I sourced the parts from multiple sellers and the majority from my local PLE shop. It's a little frustrating when ordering parts as some of the stuff that I liked wasn't in stock.
This build was done for casual gaming and video editing. I got the NZXT 510 for the minimalist looks and form factor. Building, in this case, was a breeze, and cable management was amazingly easy in this case. The pre-installed case fans can get a bit loud under load.
However, I'm starting to regret my decision due to the poor airflow and lac of radiator support on the top panel. I'm getting idle CPU temps of around 45 degrees and with the panels removed it drops back down to 38 degrees, it's on the Ryzen Balanced power plan. The AIO is currently installed in the front using the pull config. I'm a casual gamer and carried over my RX580 from my previous build, it ok for 1080p but doesn't cut it for 3k gaming. I'm looking at upgrading to 5700XT but the Gsync Panel is pushing me towards Nvidia.
I absolutely love my Ultrawide X34P, it's currently mounted on a monitor arm for the clean look. Although it's good for productive however I prefer dual monitors as I can watch Youtube and have my spec screens up whilst gaming. I got a basic Benq 1080 monitor as secondary.
I'm still tweaking around the fan settings and layout to get the idle temps and might probably end up getting Noctua NH-D15 (the chromax version). And, still thinking about replacing my case with better Airflow and mesh front (NZXT H710).
Please share your experiences with NXZT H510 and idle 3700x temps.
Runs HOT af
Included fans aren't good and are average for airflow. I'm getting high idle CPU temps with this AIO installed. But I suspect a case issue (NZXT H510). I will update the review if I better temps with another case.
One less star due to the missing front panel Type-C support. Included WIFI is good, I haven't had any issues.
Works fine. OC straight to the advertised 3200 speeds with DOCP enabled.
Nice and Quick
Love the minimalist looks but has very bad airflow. Cable managed is easy and cutouts in the case make it easy to route cables connecting to the mobo. Getting higher than usual CPU idle temps on my 3700x. I'm still testing out the fan placement before looking at other cases with better Airflow.
Compatible with my X570 as it comes with 2 EPS connectors.
Beautiful. Waiting for XBOX to support the UW 21:9 aspect ratio.
