Description

I use this rig primarily for gaming and school work. 1050 Ti handles games well with 4gb of vram. This is my first build and there were relatively no problems except cable management was quite a hassle. 88R provides enough room for all the components. 120gb will have to do for now. Overall nice easy build that gets the job done.

P.S. In the picture you see a different SSD than the one listed because I could not find the actual one that I bought online.

Nice build! if you know, how much better is the 7100 vs 6100?

To put it into perspective, the G4560 is nearly the same performance as the 6100 for nearly half the cost, so the 7100 is probably quite a bit better.

Cool! I love gaming builds with an i3.

i3's are dead for gen 7, as of now the g4560 is MUCH better price/performance and only 3% worse than the i3 6100. The sweet-spot combo right now is a g4560 and rx 470.

Would it be better to have a pentium and a 1060 3gb or rx 470?

Pentium and rx 470, yes. EDIT: Reason being the 1060 is bottlenecked by the g4560 and doesn't offer as much value as a 4gb rx 480, because anything less than 4gb of memory won't be sufficient later on and it is outperformed.. not to mention FineWineTM :) The rx 470 is the cheaper variant of the rx 480 which ALSO has 4gb, is 20-30% better than the gtx 1050 ti, and can be found for 150 or less. It is potentially overclockable to rx 480 base-clock levels because it's essentially an rx 480 that's just weaker.

I picked up an i3 7100 for essentially $85, paid $95 but got a $10 additional discount. And that's a better deal then 4560

https://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?item=N82E16813157733 What about that motherboard and the g4560? Would be about $140 max vs the i3 +motherboard for at LEAST 160.

It isn't in the eyes of most. Although if there are none in your country then nothing i can really say lol

Also, the i3 also needs a b250/270 motherboard..

Not worth buying the 6100 new anymore, the g4560 and b250 motherboard combo costs less and makes more sense overall.. the lowest-end b250 mobos are 70 or less dollars.
