Description

Summer 2018 First Water Cooling Build

-Intel i7-8086K @ 5.00GHz

-ASRock Z370 Professional Gaming i7

-G.SKILL TridentZ RGB Series 16GB @ 3467 MHz

-WD Black NVMe M.2 2280 500GB x2

-Nvidia GeForce GTX 1070 Founders Edition

-Thermaltake Pacific DIY LCS PR22-D5 300ml 5-Speed Adjustable D5 Pump/Reservoir Combo

This build was made for school, gaming, editing videos, streaming and for finally having a decent PC. My first water cooling build took seven months to complete, paycheck after paycheck I was searching for parts that came on sale and by this I saved around $300. I remember buying my GTX 1070 on best buy for $400+tax when the mining craze was on its very high point and video cards were very expensive. This build took a lot of patient from me but my goal was to save money and to get some knowledge in water cooling systems for PCs.

I am very proud of my work and very happy with the end results. Hope you guys enjoy the slide show of my setup just like I do when I go to the complete builds section and see some one else's work of art.

Nice build! But I think you should have watercooled the GPU as well, you do have more than enough cooling capacity with those rads.

I was gonna comment that as well. Perhaps a future upgrade which include a GPU waterblock and some more fittings to include it into the existing waterloop.

Yeah my plan was to do that but now that the new nvidia cards are out I'm saving money for an RTX 2080 with a water block.

How did the View 37 hold up with airflow?

Not bad at all, the CPU stays around 60°C when gaming and streaming while the GPU goes up to 80/83°C OC. It helps that the FE card has a blower fan.

I can't say i'm a fan of the View 27 but this build may have changed my mind on that . I'm very impressed +1 . I do have a question since i don't see it listed but what Radiator do you have mounted up front ?

That View 27 side panel got me to be honest. The radiator mounted in front is a XSPC RX360 Radiator V3, 120mm triple fan and the one on back is a XSPC EX120 Radiator 120mm single fan I got them both from amazon.

Hey, great build! Question, what rads did you get? I am looking at that same thermaltake kit for watercooling, and also what fittings? It would be extremely helpful if you could send me the links. Thanks! +1

In the future, saving your money is always better than buying piece by piece. You never know how much the value can change in 6 months time. Looks awesome though! Clean setup.

Love it so much wish I had one just like it. If I could upvote it twice I would once for the great build and once for the great theme. I guess I can only give you one.

I think this would be a realy good system for me to build but just one question on a Scale of 1 to 10 how hard was it to build.

Since it was my first time dealing with water cooling I would say it was a 7.5 in difficult for me.
