Description

Since I first got my hands on a computer in 1st grade (2000) I had wanted to build my own. After all these years I've finally been able to put together the PC of my dreams. It was an absolute joy to build even though the cable management was a bit of a nightmare.

Your build is REALLY nice! Thank goodness for all that room in in the PSU compartment where you can stuff all the extra cables (I know from experience!). :-)

Thank you so much! I'm so glad that there was space to tuck all the cable, especially since I had the white cable extensions.

Really clean build, man. One question though: Did you make the backplate yourself or did it come pre installed?

I got it from this site: https://www.jmmods.com

I highly recommend it

Nice build! Looks awesome! I am a huge fan of NZXT's minimalist style. I have the S340 on a previous build, and was looking at the H500i, but ultimately decided on the H700i because I wanted all that space. Super clean! I know how you feel about the cable management. I think once you finalize your set-up, you can go in there with a ton of cable ties and make the back side super clean!

Any plans to overclock? Delid? Liquid metal?

Thank you so much! I was deciding between the S340 Elite and the H500i for a while actually. The H500i is actually a little bit to work in so I'm sure the H700i is perfect!

I have already set up the easy overclocking so it hits 4.7ghz. I will be messing with the voltages to see if I got lucky with my chip and can easily hit 5.0ghz. I work with computers everyday and have for years but delidding scares the **** out of me so I may or may not do it eventually haha.

I was able to get 5.0ghz on a custom loop. Swing by my build for more info. I did delid though. It's not hard as long as you have all the right tools!

Incredible build! You must be very proud. If you’re interested, It’s a simple enough process to white out the AIO rad frame & would add an extra splash of white to your build. It’s a lot of metal so it can make a nice difference. Source : I’m a newb who managed it.

Thank you! I've been looking at Cablemod's AIO sleeve for the tubes but I'll definitely look into the rad frame. That would make things in there look even more clean!

Yea it’s easy. Corsair used to have a beautiful breakdown of how to do it safely and effectively on their site. But last time I checked it wasn’t there anymore. Just basically use card to cover the fins. Tape/cover everything you don’t want white. Then go ham with some spray of your choice and you’re Gucci.

So far it's been fantastic and I've been putting it through it's paces. I hit 75c playing ARMA 3 on max settings and it was doing just fine. Definitely I good card.

It's great but the for is TIGHT. It doesn't scrape anything but it's close. Also with the case the front IO cables get in the way so that's why I have the fans in front of the radiator. You'll most likey have to do the same thing.

And thank you for the compliment!

I was wondering about that. It looks like it’s a super tight fit! I was wondering about that’s as well. Would you suggest putting the cables in front of the radiator like that instead of on the inside facing the components?

I think you got the inspiration from the build "Idk what to tittle this". I'm going for the exact same build and happy to see other people taking inspiration from it too. Would reccomend spray painting the fan grill and getting white aio sleeves. Other than that great job!

I will say I had been planning this white build for about a year but I'd be lying if I said some of my choices didn't come from that guy's build lol. His is so ******* clean and I plan to get mine up to that level eventually. Thanks for the compliment!

I know right! Gonna build the same build around New Years!

Did you use any additional LED strips, or is this all coming from the ones at the top of the case?

  • 1 point

Nope these are from the case. You have to get the "i" edition of the h500 to get those though. They're controlled from the CAM software.

Wow, that's awesome, exactly what I'm looking for. I'm planning a similar white build, would you point me in the direction to where you got the backplate? And does it just sit on top or is it secured somehow.

  • 1 point

I got it from jmmods.com and its magnetic so it sits fairly well. Trust me, I did my research and the magnetism is perfectly fine. The guy there does fantastic work and will amke all sorts of custom stuff.

So clean! Why did you not turn the light loops on though?

Because I'm dumb and didn't fully understand rgb fans before I got them. I realized I can't control the colors from the rgb headers lol
