needs rgb ram for extra fps
That's one hardcore looking keyboard, what is it?
It looks like a blue finger MNK bundle. Pardon me if I’m mistaken.
Great simple build, but I suppose you bought the 1080ti not at the right time because I remember they hit lower price point not too long ago.
Good luck in your streaming and business, mate!
1. Put a red led fan on the back exhaust so it matches the rest of the fans.
2. Install a vertical gpu mount and turn on the red leds on the MSI card. Would be sick.
3. Get some black cable combs.
Otherwise nice work +1.
Mounting your GPU vertically will kill performance and shorten the life of your card in PC cases that do not have adequate room between the side window and the fans on the GPU which his case does not. Be careful with looks focused recommendations like these. It'll only hurt inexperienced builder's.
While I generally agree with your statement, I personally have a heavily overclocked 980 ti vertically in my case which is fairly narrow and the temperature difference from horizontally mounted is only a few degrees. The key is, is to have decent case airflow and not use the case vertical mounted brackets but use an aftermarket one like the link above which puts more space between the case side panel and the gpu fans. Personally the looks are worth a few degree difference and the MSI gaming cooler he has is very good which I know would not have a problem keeping it well below the 91 degree Nvidia recommended temperature threshold.
You should detail that out more when you recommend it. Although 91C on these cards is almost not sustainable and the performance hit you take kinda negates the purpose of high end parts
I am not recommending running it at 91, I said it would run well below 91 vertically because he has a good aftermarket cooler. If the card runs at 76 vertically instead of 72 horizontally it doesn't really matter in any significant way when 91 is the nvidia design limit for the silicon. That being said read this by gamers nexus on using different mounts; vertical in case vs aftermarket vs horizontal. The case mod mount in the tests which places it in the middle like the coolermaster one I linked has basically no difference from horizontal. All this hate towards vertical mounts is way overblown compared to actual facts. Also, like I said earlier I am doing this in my own machine which is the roughly the same case width so I am not recommending something I haven't had experience with myself.
I'd like to mount it vertically however the case is to small to do that.
This thing looks helli cool
