Description

I built this PC to replace my old 500$PC I bought 5 years ago.

This is for Work (Video and Photo editing) and Gaming

My Games were running at 25fps on ultra low settings and now they run at 120fps average at ultra high settings.

The build took 4hours I had some problems with the ram at startup, but everything turned out fine.

I did the 3D Mark CloudGate test and got a 31593 score.

I know a lot of my parts are overkill but I wanted those so xD.

Very happy with the results.

The screen is fantastic, the ONLY problem is the black bars while watching most of the videos.

The Keyboard I actually have is the K70 RGB Brown switches. It is AWESOME but it is LONG to set up. Same thing with the mouse.

The Wacom Intuos Pro allows somooth drawing experience with all its shortcut buttons. I was disappointed the sensor zone is not all the tablet it is only within the little white lights. The wireless option is SO worth it!

The speaker system is really good, it as a good high-mid quality and a good bass punch. The command module lets you put each speaker at an individual level, for the sound you want.

sanchezliny 5 points 55 months ago

Awesome Build! You did a great job with cable management. +1

jedylan submitter 1 Build 4 points 55 months ago

Thank you it was not that easy xD

Dane10 5 points 55 months ago

I like the build though I'm curious why you paid $40 dollars for a mouse pad. +1

jedylan submitter 1 Build 2 points 55 months ago

I know it is overpriced but it is a really good mouse pad It will make a perfect match for my mouse when I will get the M65RGB

actechy 7 Builds 4 points 55 months ago

Nailed it! Top of the line all the way around, good cable mgmt inside and excellent pics +1

jedylan submitter 1 Build 3 points 55 months ago

Tried to give the best pics possible, hate when there are no good pictures. Ask me if you want pictures of anything else. (I will put some of the peripherals when I get them all)

Scallawagers 3 points 55 months ago

Only thing I would have done diff would be to go with western digital for the HDD. besides that, excellent build!

reoper6 3 points 55 months ago

Seagate isnt that bad its the ones they made from 2007 - 20010 that gave them a bad name. though their 1.5 TB still are iffy those are nice. though not the best.

jedylan submitter 1 Build 3 points 55 months ago

Maybe I will add a few WD green 2TB in the future

Kringler 3 points 54 months ago

dont get green unless you want them to fail within a few months

BlueHorse 3 points 55 months ago

Love that case thinking about getting one for myself how is it? Oh and +1

jedylan submitter 1 Build 2 points 55 months ago

It is great, really silent (I did a sound comparison with my old) The only downside is its small size: had though time cable managing mostly in the top because of the radiator, and I dont have room to put anything arround the GTX780's.

BlueHorse 3 points 55 months ago

ok thanks !

jstar 3 points 55 months ago

Very, very nice.

Euphemia 3 points 55 months ago

Great build! Spot on with part selection, appearance and cable management. +1

OblivionXBA 4 Builds 3 points 55 months ago

Beautiful job. I love the color scheme and I'm interested in where you got those sleeved cables. +1

OblivionXBA 4 Builds 2 points 55 months ago

Thanks dude!

ihellioti 1 Build 2 points 55 months ago

Beautiful build, was it worth the led controller? What leds did you end up using?

jedylan submitter 1 Build 2 points 55 months ago

I love the LED controler from NZXT. The LED's are a little far from each other but still works very well. I would have loved for an option of sound controlled for the LED's and I will bring the idea to NZXT.

sarvpriya 2 points 55 months ago

Nice build man , i'm thinking of Buying the msi gaming 5 motherboard, would u recommend it? and did u have any problems with it? Just wording why i get booner every time I llok that pc. ohhhh it happening again ;)

jedylan submitter 1 Build 1 point 55 months ago

I had some problems installing the ram and I think it was due to the motherboard, but other than that it is a solid and good looking board.

Elvyn 2 points 55 months ago

How is the motherboard?

jedylan submitter 1 Build 1 point 55 months ago

It is a good motherboard with solid bios

Frzz 2 points 53 months ago

Awsome Build Dude, and Sexy Keyboard.

RevoltTrain 1 Build 2 points 53 months ago

Where did you pick up that desk?

jedylan submitter 1 Build 1 point 43 months ago

Made it myself

MaskedMonster21 1 Build 2 points 53 months ago

+1 Sick build bro! Love the speakers strapped to the chair, it may not be conventional but I'm sure it works like a charm :)

pachykiet 2 points 52 months ago

How are you liking the keyboard and mouse... I want to get those so I was wondering your opinion and what keys do you have for your keyboard? Thanks... :)

jedylan submitter 1 Build 1 point 52 months ago

I have brown switches and I love the feel. The keyboard and mouse are very solid. They fixed most of the firmware and software bugs, but dont buy them thinking you will plug and play you have at least 30min to 2hours setup to do. So you get the configs rigth so you understand the software etc. Still it is worth it.

pachykiet 2 points 52 months ago

Thanks for the heads up and for letting me know in general! Very much appreciated! +1

DTI466 1 Build 2 points 43 months ago

He only spent 5176.77 in Canadian. Thats 3,984.34 in us dollars. Why yall wiggin' out? (-.-)

jedylan submitter 1 Build 1 point 43 months ago

I am planning a new 7000$-8000$ Build soon

KPECTOK 1 point 55 months ago

jedylan, do you have enough space for a push-pull configuration? i want to go with the same CPU cooler and case but with an ASUS Maximus Hero VII, can you please check that?

jedylan submitter 1 Build 1 point 55 months ago

I would not recommend it, I had a hard time cable managing the top with only push config. It would work but your bottom fans would go maybe as low as the CPU.

KPECTOK 1 point 55 months ago

thanks dude. i want to build a PC with the same case and i might have some questions, can you give me your email please in case i have some?

jedylan submitter 1 Build 1 point 54 months ago

Send me personal messages on PC parts picker

themunce 1 point 54 months ago

Hey, I'm wondering if you can help me. I have an identical build, with the case, mobo, and cooler. I can't get the cooler to work in the software. It won't show up in corsair link, I can't control it at all, but it is working.

jedylan submitter 1 Build 1 point 54 months ago

I dont use the Corsair Link software for fan control

ScrollScribbler 1 point 54 months ago

Nice! If Darth Vader had a gaming pc this would be it.

jedylan submitter 1 Build 1 point 54 months ago

Then maybe my name is Anakin Skywalker

700mAdOg700 1 point 54 months ago

I am just admiring your choices..... If I had 5000$ right now I would buy everything on this list!

jedylan submitter 1 Build 1 point 54 months ago

thank you, it is my last 4 months of work that are in front of me

noobypoopy 1 point 54 months ago

Did you have any problems updating the BIOS for the motherboard?

awlicata 1 Build 1 point 53 months ago

Brb fapping furiously

Darin2000 1 point 52 months ago

With the motherboard, can you connect to the internet wirelessly? Thanks!

jedylan submitter 1 Build 1 point 51 months ago

No it does not

ALKW 1 Build 1 point 51 months ago

I have a question. I am thinking of getting that motherboard, case and cooler combo and i was wondering you had any mounting problems with the h100i being to close to the heatsinks on the motherboard or if any problems in general?

jedylan submitter 1 Build 1 point 51 months ago

It is very thigh and offset towards the windowed side, but it fits. I would recommend another Mobo

WWarriorz51 1 Build 1 point 51 months ago

hey man i have a question. i might be getting the same cpu/mobo combo and i have been doing some reading that the current bios version will not fully support that cpu and could possibly brick my system. did you have any of the same issues? if so how did you fix the problem? will i be able to safely update my bios the the 4790k or will i have to find a better supported cpu to update? all help will be greatly appreciated

jedylan submitter 1 Build 1 point 51 months ago

I didn't have any compatibility problems, but if you have the money I would go with a better Mobo from Asus

EtriusGraiv 1 point 49 months ago

Ha ha ha ha ha!

5 grand for a computer

0.30 in e-tape to strap speakers to a chair

Freaking out the people around me with sudden laughter: Priceless

jedylan submitter 1 Build 1 point 49 months ago

Yeah I know xD, didn't find a better way Industrial Velcro was not strong enough

LukeSunwalker 1 point 49 months ago

Awesome build +1, but I laughed a bit when I saw those surround speakers...End result must be great though!

Mark.V.Sullivan 1 point 45 months ago

How is your heat in that box running SLI? Do you tend to open the front door when you are gaming?

I am building a similar box.. well, same case, SLI, and enough drives I can't remove the top drive bay for more ventilation.

Just curious, if I should be getting a different case when I get my second graphics card.

jedylan submitter 1 Build 1 point 44 months ago

I would change the motherboard for an Asus and that is about it The heat is perfetly ok, Your cards are even more heat efficient than mine so you should have no problem.

Blumer78 1 point 40 months ago

Excellent build. I've been looking what parts to put together for a build of my own, and the CPU and Motherboard you have are two parts I want for my new build. I just have one question: Did you have any issues getting the i7-4790k to work with the motherboard, or did it work just right right out of the box? If you did have any issues, what did you do to fix them? Thanks in advance for any help you can offer.
