Just finished an upgrade. Waiting for the 2080 ti prices to drop. Currently using 1080 SLI.
Hey man we have the same case and board. I can’t get the screws to align though so I can’t install it. Did you run into any issues?
H150i PRO has no RGB fan right?
So you replace them with what?
Correct- no RGB fans.
The 500d RGB case comes with 3. I bought another 3 RGB fans and a LED strip. I have a push pull config. The front 3 RGB fans push air into the rad and the 3 non RGB fans that came with the 150i pull it through into the case.
wow so totally you have 9 fans??
hey, lovely beast of a build man, i am going to be using the same number of fans in the exact same configuration, could you please help me with a detailed explanation on how you connected the 9 fans? i too am going for push/pull on the h150i rad with 3 x LL120 fans(push) and 3 x ML 120 fans (pull), 2 x LL120 fans for exhaust up top and 1 x LL 120 fan for exhaust at the back. the total 6 x LL 120 fans i can connect through the commander pro, but what about the 3x ML120 fans? how do i connect those to the motherboard?
Did you have any problems installing that motherboard with this case? I am, the screws aren’t aligning properly for me?
Yes- this motherboard case combo is difficult. I really had to squeeze it in!
Can you explain more about this? I have the same case and planned on buying the same motherboard.
Looks great! It's nice to see all the space in a big case be fully utilized
I was about to say the same thing. I think pcs looks a lot nicer when there is not a lot of empty space. I spent too much time working on that with my build.
Cool good job!
case looks awesome dude!
look's great you are rich like crazy!!!!!
Those are actual wood floors, so I doubt he/she is poor. And someone spending this much money is probably financial knowledgeable about money.
Yeah I know you were joking lol
I rented an apartment for $600 that had real wood floors... XD
I also have a brother-in-law who spent $5k of his student loans on a badass gaming PC then dropped out of college... He's literally a janitor now and up to his balls in debt.
Not saying you're wrong, but the only one who knows is the builder.
Uh... but.. ahh. nvm
I just got it. Just now. I'm sorry.
Literally like 5 minutes ago.
What size sli bridge did you use?
So it leaves one space in-between.
Edit- Just checked- I was wrong. Its a 1 slot space bridge
glorious 1080 prices
Sick build !
Where did you put the filter for your push/pull? Did you have a hard time putting the built in IO shield inside your case? Because I need to cut my case to make it fit.
Putting the Motherboard in was a force of ******* WILL. I basically strong armed the Mobo in it. BARELY fit. Frankly, I'm convinced im going to have some sort of long term damage. I may have to cut the case in the future. The IO shield is a nightmare.
As for the filter- I dont have anything but the provided magnetic case filter. Seems to work fine so far.
I hope this helps.
I did the same thing. I cut my case so I voided the warranty of my case for sure. I'm wondering if I'm the only one that have the same problem but I'm not so thank God. I thought I messed up my mobo but luckily is working fine for now.
Oh ok. I think I can't do the same thing you did because my case is different. Mine is cougar panzer evo rgb.
Thanks for the response.
Its ok if I use a single 8 pin on that mobo because my psu doesn't have another 4 pin? I don't do overclocking.
I'm not an expert but i would definitely connect all the pins.
Quick question... This monitor, do you get any tear by not being able to use Gsync on it?
No- i dont get a lot of tearing.
But it does happen right? What games do you play? I just want to know because I'm currently looking to upgrade to a WQHD display. This looks alot better than the Acer or Asus, but I just didn't know if GSync missing would cause any issues down the line for me.
Nice! What core voltage are you running 5ghz at?
How are your cpu and gpu temps?
I'm essentially building this but with single 2080Ti. Did the RAM give you trouble? I checked with the compatibility and didn't see it listed for Maximus hero Xi. Same case and similar fan config too.
Funny i actually just sold the 1080s and moved to a single 2080Ti(MSI Duke) as well. The RAM works great. I did have a problem initial- i screwed in the AIO (H150) too tight and it wouldn't detect the RAM. After loosening the screws the sticks were working fine.
What’s your temps under load I’m looking into buying the cooler you have for my i7 7900k
Dude the cooler is awesome. VERY COOL. i don't think i have seen it even crack 70c during gaming.
Hey I love the build and am about to do a very similar one myself. I have a maybe stupid question but can't seem to find it on the googles. My GF got me the 500d RGB case for Christmas and it doesn't say it's the SE version but I can't even find a none SE version on the web. Does SE just stand for series or am I missing something? Sorry for the possibly stupid question but AMAZING PC!!!
As far as i know the 500d rgb and the 500d rgb se are the same. I could be wrong.
what are the temps when you overclock the cpu?
your screen cost as much as my pc
Ha ha well i bought it in Jan of 2017. It was pricey but it really is incredible.
and i have a i5 8600k
