Check out the Titan X (Pascal) Benchmarks here and the SLI benchmarks here.

For about a month, the Uber Rig had the NVIDIA GTX 1080 in 4-Way SLI as well.

quickly scrolled to bottom to see $.

gulp

Dude...enjoy it while you can.

Actually besides being a ridiculously cool build, it is also equally ridiculously stupid build.

4 Titan X to play games? there is literally no productive reason to do that.

  • 4 points

some games wont even use all 4 cards together

  • 8 points

*most games. I think linus or someone even built arig with 4 cards, and it was actually worse for games than just two of them.

  • 3 points

Jayztwocents did a video with 4-way sli and games like gta wouldn't even load with all four cards in.

  • 1 point

It was with 3 way sli and no games actually work on pascal right now with more than sli. Though you can trick the gpus into believing you are actually playing Catzilla as shown on YouTube, really easy to do.

  • 1 point

watch his videos, he gets near 100% utilization on all four

  • 0 points

plus the nvidea drivers don't support 4-way anymore so it won't even work. (as of march 4, 2017)

It does in fact work, and he has videos of him playing games in 8k

You can't overclock those monitors any farther because there isn't any bandwidth left in the cable itself to support it. The DP revision used by these monitors is already pushed to its limits by these resolutions and refresh rates as they are.

  • 1 point

dual display port, thats how they are getting 8k

  • 1 point

4K and 5k do not yet support upwards of 60

[comment deleted]
  • 1 point

Why the hell would he be playing at 3440x1440p resolution with 4 way TITAN XP cards lol? His entire channel is literally dedicated to 4K and higher gaming. he regularly does 5K and even 8K resolution gameplay recordings. That's basically his "gimmick" so to speak, so it'd be odd for someone like him ( a resolution freak) to have a PG348Q.

  • 1 point

It's a single monitor. I don't know much about monitors but he probably has more than one at this point, this hp one is probably for productivity. Also if he didnt have a high res monitor he could probably be running the games at a higher res just to push the system

How has compatibility been since Nvidia doesn't officially support 4 way SLI anymore?

There is a way nvidia allows 4 way sli but its not stable and it doesn't have a lot of support from nvidia and other companies

when I saw the price, I thought it was a custom water cooled build. But when I saw the actual pc, I face palmed. Hmm, must have nice cable mana- (throwing up in the distance). I take that back.

  • 2 points

I thought you couldn't have more then a 2 way SLI now?

  • 2 points

For games this is true. But for benchmarking utilities and GPU assisted productivity programs, it is still supported, as long as the makers of those programs choose to.

  • 2 points

you can string them together, it doesn't give any performance boost though since the software controlling it doesn't do anything special with the additional cards. all you get are more ports out the back

  • 2 points

You knew it was coming... Can it run crysis?

  • 2 points

When you buy 4 Titan XPs... NVIDIA throws you Crysis 4 Alpha build. True Story.

  • 1 point

Yes. But can it run minesweeper at 640x480 at 11 FPS?

  • 2 points

Screw what everyone in the comments is saying man. Yeah.. There no support for 4xTitan SLI but who the **** cares.... Must be awesome going into a hardware store and being like yeah my set up at home has a 6950 and 4 Titan XP..... My jaw would drop lol.

sadly 4 of them does nothing more than 2 of them can, aside from more ports out the back

  • 0 points

then why u got 4 ?

  • 2 points

Because they fixed it. People on Guru3d figured out a trick to make 4 way SLI work in games. Go look at his youtube channel that he linked to; he has half a dozen videos of all four cards getting ~90% usage in several games (GTAV, Shadow of Mordor, Battlefield 1, Crysis 3, Project Cars etc..etc..) Hilariously he was getting over 120fps even in 5K resolution in most games.

So how do the Titan's overclock on Air? Mine are Previous Gen Titan X's on Water. My FS Ultra Score is 17379 which I believe is higher than yours and I have the cheaper CPU. Granted, yours is still an awesome rig but I can't believe I'm over 4k Points above you.

I guess I'm the only one who actually respects this build while have nothing to bash on you about it. One this dude says," this costs more than a bugahtti veyron" when a cheap car at 20k costs more than it. Two 4x Titan XP's is great for high resolution gaming on one monitor but the monitors refresh rate should be overclocked or exchanged for a 144 since you will have higher fps at the same resolution practically. And finally three, I don' get why 4x titan xp's would have any difference than two because most games can't support that or run that high, the human eye can only tell the difference barely past 4k res, and... at your budget why so little storage space when you do games, editing, work etc. on it 4tb is a lot but at the budget it should be around 6-10 in ssd's and a 2tb ssd would be cheaper and cleaner for your wires.

  • 1 point

incredibly powerful...but one of the worst wastes of money and components ever. poor compatibility, unsupported 4 way sli, a cpu that is the definition of uselessly overpriced, but its whatevs.

  • 1 point

ThirtyIR, question about overclocking your 6950x; are you currently running your RAM at 3200 MHz/XMP or at stock frequency/Manual? I recently purchased a 6950x for myself and have have gotten it stable on both 4.0 GHz and 4.2 GHz only at memory speeds between 2666 MHz and 2933 MHz on Manual as XMP generates too much heat and any speed after 3000MHz turns the CPU into a space heater. My ram is the Corsair Vengeance LED (128 GB) @ 3200 MHz. Thoughts?

No water cooling for GPUs? 4 Titan XPs stacked so close together can easily overheat and lead to thermal throttling, reduce the performance.

More than 2 GPUs from GeForce 10 in sli gives you less performance if you will go with 2 Titans the performance you get will be higher

  • 3 points

This is false, 2 cards will just sit at idle, they don't affect performance at all, unless you do the DX12 thing to use all 4 cards. then the Perf. will go up. OP has a YouTube channel where he plays modern games at 8K 120 FPS, all 4 cards are used. therefore your comment is false.

  • 0 points

I did see your videos on youtube, but i don't think that you are benefiting of those 4 GPUs and that overkill CPU.

The money he dropped here, is too damn high! XD

Don't you want to give me just 1500$, to make my build come true? :P (Gaming and streaming just like you, i could credit you XD)

Now for real, i really love your build, you could have put more photos just to look at that MasterPiece!

You can't run a NVme drive at the same time as 4 way SLI unless its sata speeds amd you have to run your cards at 8x 8x 8x 8x which reduces performance as it not only reduces the speed but shares the bandwidth of the 4th card with the storage

That's actually pretty funny seeing how 4 Titans don't really add much to for gaming wise. It's more for rendering things. Two 980 TI's are better than the Titan regarding gaming, so IMHO this is pretty wasteful

Maybe the normal Titan X but he got the Titan X Pascal which is way better than even the GTX 1080
