I finally have a build I feel is worthy to post! I mainly use this rig for After Effects and Cinema4d, although it is used regularly for gaming aswell.
Price is a bit higher than I feel it should be but over all the performance is solid, it runs cool and makes a huge difference in render times.
I’ve been running this cooler for years over multiple upgrades. It’s a solid AIO with decent fans and a quiet pump.
What can I say, it’s the only z390 mobo with thunderbolt 3 and I like it’s looks.
The price listed is the current retail. I purchased this used for $120 right before the peak of the ram shortage. Overall it’s been solid, but I’d probably buy a faster speed at the current prices.
Has this guy for a while. It’s just a scratch disk and holds some games. It’s cheap and has adequate performance.
This drive is speedy, right between a 970 evo and a 970 pro, but the price is usually cheaper than both of the former.
This is my main game and project storage drive. It’s crazy fast for the price.
Large capacity, decent speeds, holds my Plex server, and serves as long term storage before my data is moved to tape.
Great looking card. It provides all the Speed I need for 60hz 4k gaming, and fast 3d renders.
This case is awesome. I love all the extra little features like the led strip and fan controller. I would recommend using a sfx power supply if you are using a dedicated gpu. I had a rm850x in here before and there was not enough air flow for my gpu. Now that I switched to sfx, cpu and gpu temps never rise above 65c
Decent psu, seems to reliably provide enough power for this rig. Gold earring is nice but I don’t think this psu is anything special.
Solid monitor for the money. Good color reproduction and it runs in gsync due to its freesync capability.
