Description

I started out this build by basing it around Gaming and LAN, I wanted a case that sat the GPU in a vertical position so it wouldn't bend or break, which my earlier build had some GPU sag. I also wanted a good environment for fans, which is great in this case. I also kind of wanted a smaller case that was easy for LAN parties but I didn't have a budget for a full out ITX build so I went with micro atx for the motherboard. This build took place in two parts, building everything on the list except the GPU, which I bought at a later date, so the pictures aren't 100% accurate. I would love feedback and constructive criticism!

Part Reviews

CPU

Provides for my Gaming and Streaming needs, have never had a problem with this guy. I acquired him from a Prime Day sale for $210, which was a great deal at the time.

Motherboard

Solid budget motherboard from MSI, the LED lighting and easy debug LEDs are very helpful. Includes a m.2 slot which I love to see on a budget board. suits my gaming needs. A little disappointed that the 4 corner LEDs are only white, which takes down a star. BIOS are also a little confusing, but still okay.

Memory

Works great with my 2700x, setting it to its clock speeds with the XMP2 profile was really easy. Good product!

Storage

Got this off of a friend, it's a little old but still works :).

Storage

Very good boot and game drive, the only constraint is my Internet.

Video Card

This is it, the Monster, the crusher, one of the best Custom navi cards in my opinion. Auto-fan keeps it quiet, the only noise in the case is the stock cooler. Runs anything I throw at it. Amazing card overall. MSI dragoncenter boost clocks it to 2040 MHz and 1800 MHz for the memory.

Case

It was bigger than I thought but still a solid case. The PSU bracket broke on me, also wish they included a fan hub or more fan brackets. Good for larger-scale matx projects.

Power Supply

Decent PSU, currently no problems running a 2700X and 5700 Xt. Great price for wattage.

Headphones

Microphone is a little quiet, volume slider on the right ear is nice to have in case of emergencies, feels nice on my head.

Custom

This thing feels amazing, its SOOOO light and the Infinity skins make it fit perfectly. Not sure if it was worth the high price tag though.

Not yet, but it doesnt show up in mystic light for me yet, not sure if its me or not. I havent had a crash yet though, which is good. It seems pretty solid overall.

Is that 550W PSU enough for that 5700 XT?
