Very odd question, but how is the DVD/CD/Blue-ray player working? Does it make much noise, anything about it stand out? I'm planning a similar build with many of the same parts, but many of the optical drives I've seen have really weird reviews.

Hello, I have the same motherboard with the Dark Rock 3 but I have a lot of problem with my DDR A channel because the back plate of the Dark Rock 3 is touching (and pressing) DIMM Socket 1 Pins and capacitors pins. After contacting BeQuiet, they tell me that they have problem with dark rock 3 and MSI Z170A Gaming Pro Carbon.

Do you had any issue ?

is it possible to dim the motherboard lights?

How can it boot? Your rams are in the wrong dimm...!

MSI motherboards often require the RAM to be placed in the 2nd and 4th slot first. This mobo is no exception. This way problems with CPU-coolers can be prevented.

Ye I looked up the online manual (Yep I'm that sad), it's definitely in the wrong dimm.

Unless I'm looking at the photos wrong, the RAM is in the 2nd slot. That is exactly where the manual says it should be.

Hmm, both of the RAM sticks are occupying the channel A of dimm 1 and dimm 2, if it works and boots he is only getting 8 gigs because the second stick is in the wrong dimm.

Woops, missed the second RAM stick, my bad. That would indeed be the wrong slot.
