Description

Absolutely love this computer and all the parts in it. The only thing I'm going to change is the GPU. When I build my wife rig she's going to get this one and I will get a 1080 version of this one. Just a little info for this AIO cooler. If your mounting in the front you'll have to remove the bottom plate where the HDD's are located. Otherwise it won't fit at all without drilling your own holes.

Part Reviews

CPU

This chip is an absolute best. I came from the AMD FX-9590 to this and OMG this thing is awesome. Super smooth with plenty of power for anything I could possibly want to do. I used the mobo overclocker and it clocked it to 4.8GHz without any trouble. If your really good at overclocking I'm sure you can break 5GHz without trying.

Motherboard

I'm gonna be honest I really only bought this board because of the look, it's a wonderful board none the less. Unfortunately I don't use all the features on it but it is a easy board to hook everything into and looks great too.

Power Supply

It's completely overkill for this build I'm fully aware of it, but YOLO MOFOS. I happened to buy it for 185 bucks and couldn't pass that up. Being able to have something that powers anything I could ever have and not have a fan turn on is kinda what I wanted.

Nice, this is so close to the build I'm thinking of doing. You going to overclock it?

Also on the front for fans.. do you think you could fit a 3rd 140mm fan.. ive seen some custom builds that did.

Its funny same price but I ended putting more into GPU and monitor. https://pcpartpicker.com/user/alanoc/saved/b4Lpgs

No you can't fit a 3rd 140mm, at least without modding the front part. I plan of getting MSI's 1080 here in the coming months, the 1070 is the one I already had. As far as over clocking I just went into the board tweaker and it auto tuned it to 4.8 and I'm superbly happy with that. Coming from a FX-9590 stock speed would of been fine with me lol

That PSU might be a little OP on this build.

Oh its horribly OP, but when you have the chance to buy it for $150 I mean you can't pass that.

Sweet build. I got nearly the same setup, but how did u manage to fit the Kraken in the front. As i tryed it, the holes in the radiator did not fit with the phanteks case ones, cause the radiator was to wide.

Thanks for your reply - and pls excuse my bad english as a german guy :)

So in order to fit the X62 you have to take the hard drive cages out of the bottom. Which involves taking out the bottom plate off. If you look at one of my photos you'll notice that you can see right next to the radiator you can see the Hard Drive in the bottom (which is just laying on the bottom on the case). It sucks because you have to take apart so much for something like this. Hope this helps.

Hi - so this was not my question. I know i have to take out the hd cages. I did it already. But my problem was not the height... it was the width. The screws did not fit for both sides. There was always one side i could not see the screwholes.

Btw: U know that u can order a HDD cage for mounting the HDD at the bottom like the SSDs?

But anyway. Thanks for your responding.

I now have the kraken in the top of the case ;)

That's interesting because for me the holes matched up perfectly.

Is it possible to mount the radiator any higher or is that the highest it can go?

Unfortnualy you can't unless you have a smaller radiator. Sadly because of the mounting holes they force you to set it down in the bottom of the case in the basement.

Thats too bad. Probably just gonna go with the x52 then. Its all about the aesthetics. :)

The power with the lack of noise makes me hard everytime I play Arma 3 on it.
