Description

Build Information:

This is my second build. My first build was:

AMD Athlon64 X2 Dual Core Processor 6000+ 3.0GHz; Asus Crosshair AM2; Corsair 8 GB RAM; W/D 250 GB; NVIDIA GeForce 8800 GTX SLI; Antec 900.

For this build I had a few rules. No lights, silent, small, reasonably affordable and aesthetically pleasing.

Order dates:

11/30: 250gb SSD; 12/1: CPU, Case, Thermal Paste; 12/4: Case Fans; 12/8: Mobo, RAM, PSU, CPU Fan; 12/11: 128gb SSD; 12/30: GPU; 1/3: RAM; 3/28: 250gb SSD.

Notes:

1/5: Coil whine on the GPU. Fixed FPS to prevent noise.

1/20: Games are running at max and temperatures remain stable during long sessions.

Really nice looking build with great cable managment and balanced. All you gotta do now is to add a gtx 970/980 and this build will be really good bang/buck

Haha! Yea two things about the CPU cooler I'm kind of worried about:

The manual prefers not placing it the way I have it installed as "it may result in reduced cooling performance";

The pipe ends are super close to where the GPU's backplate will be.

It'll be a tight fit, for sure. Thanks!

Not sure and the manual doesn't really state why either.

Funny you mention the Gigabyte 970 mini, I was looking at that one and other small form factor gpus and noticed Asus is coming out with one too.

It would be cool to see a comparison test review!
