Wanted to get into building something for myself to replace a old pre-built I was using to game. Enjoyed building this and it can handle anything I throw at it pretty well. When I can drop more into it I'll update to a GTX 2070 and a Ryzen 3rd Gen CPU. I should have sprung for the Ryzen 5 2600X for the extra performance.

I can't say enough good things about the Fractal Meshify Case, it was highly rated and did not disappoint.

Part Reviews

Should have gone with the 2600X for the extra performance, still handles everything I throw at it.

CPU Cooler

Excellent cooler, and who doesn't love some RGB?!? Even under heavy load keeps my CPU at ~60-70 C.

Mid Range standard board, no real bells and whistles but the bios is simple.

SSDs are mandatory these days. I got this on sale, highly recommend if you see them for under $100.

Video Card

Very capable mid range GPU. I can play Ghost Recon: Wildlands and Middle Earth: Shadow of War on high/ultra and maintain 60 fps at 1080p. Toying with the idea of upgrading to a 144hz 1080p monitor to see if this card can hang.

I cannot say enough good things about this case. Perfect for new builders, plenty of room to build, cable management is a piece of cake, amazing airflow. There is a reason why this case has builders raving about it especially for the price!!

Case Fan

These were great fans, I ended up trading them out for some RGB fans from corsair.

How is the RAM clearance with that cooler and motherboard? It looks like it may be covering one DIMM slot but I can't exactly tell from the pictures

It clears it by about 1/8"-1/4". it's tight but it fits
