Description

This is my first time assembling a PC. The idea behind the build was to put together a sort of all-round system, notably for gaming, console streaming/recording, and light editing. I was shooting for around a thousand US dollars to keep myself from going overboard for a first build.

Some things to note:

  • I originally used a single Corsair Vengeance 16gb 2400mhz stick, before upgrading to the current sticks a month later.

  • WD SATA M.2 is the boot drive, as I didn't have the 970 Evo until a month later.

  • Included the Optical Drive as I still like CDs.

  • Included Wifi Card, as I have consoles that could use the Ethernet connection but only have one Ethernet cord available.

  • Removed 3.5 inch Drive Cage as I have no use for it.

Feedback Appreciated!

Hi! Do these RAM+mobo run XMP profile well? You've got 3200 MHz?

Both sticks are running at 1600mhz each after enabling D.O.C.P. so I guess it works? I'm new to PC Building so I don't really know a lot about this.

So, that Prime X470-Prime work well with Corsair Vengeance 16gb 3200 MHz?

The one here works well. I wouldn't use it for online gaming, simply due to the nature of WiFi; however it does come in handy when I want to connect on my browser while my Ethernet cord is being used by one of my consoles. Do note that drivers need to be installed otherwise it won't work.

This is pretty similar to what I'm looking to put together. I'm actually trying to avoid any RGB in my system as I find flickering lighting really distracting.
