This build went real smooth, The only problem I might have is the GPU runs Idle at 43c and gets up to 53/54 during game play. I am not sure if that is a problem since I have had no issues, but it concerns me, might think about liquid cooling the GPU. The i7 9700k on a Gigabyte Z390 Aorus Master board. I just used the easy OC to bump the CPU up to 4.9 and it runs great. I did a RAID 0 with the two Samsung 960 EVO M.2 drives. I also had just laying around two WD red 2TB drives for storage. Also added a Samsung 860 EVO 500GB SSD for a separate games install drive. David is really quiet even when I am playing games. My twin 12 year old boys tested this rig out by VR-ing for 6 hours straight playing SairentoVR, Arizona Sunshine, Rec Room, Beat Saber, and Space Pirate Trainer just to name a few and no issues at all. I played Wolfenstein Youngblood for a few hours with no problem. Then switch over and played Control just to see the real ray tracing experience, it all ran with no glitches. I also run a Plex server that accesses content from a USB 3.0 Raid box and it work great.

Part Reviews

Works Great, performs better than expected.

CPU Cooler

This is a great cooling solution, love the light show.

So far the performance is awesome. Its good to know if your going to be using the M.2 ports then it will disable half of your SATA ports and one PCI-E slot as well. Not a big deal, just make sure you read the manual so you know what your limitation are. I successfully installed both my M.2 drives, SSD drive, and two SATA spin drives with no problem.

Video Card

This thing is a monster! Works Awesome! the only thing I will have to do in the future is do liquid cooling, I would like to see it run cooler. No problems at all though.

Great Case, Small but fits a lot in it. Perfect for my needs.

The screen is beautiful, I can only get it to 120mz due to port limitation but still is a great monitor.

Best wireless gaming mouse for the price, love it.

My old build was an i7 6700k with a GTX 980 ti in a CM StormTrooper case. I called that one Goliath. So it just seems fitting to name this one David.
