I will be using this for playing games and working. Most of my work consists of AutoCAD Civil 3D, ArcGIS, and other land surveying programs. I work with LiDAR point cloud data quite a bit as well. This system has handled everything exceptionally well. Everything worked great considering this was my first build ever, I only had a few problems with the front case fans and the RAM registering 32 GB instead of the full 64 GB. All is working now.

Part Reviews

The core i9-7940X is great, totally worth the money for the computing power. With this CPU i can run any game and handle every work task I have with no issues.

CPU Cooler

So far this is keeping my power sucking CPU ice cold. I've over clocked while playing games for hours and the CPU temp stays at 28-31 degrees. I'm glad i sprung for the Kraken X72 the 3 fans mounted on top of my cooler master H500M perfectly.

I like the board but it only had 1 legacy 2.0 USB port. I bought an NZXT extension so I could hook up my water cooler. I may upgrade to a ASUS ROG RAMPAGE VI EXTREME.

I like the heat sinks, they keep everything nice and cool. The RGB looks awesome in the case.

Super fast read and write. Installing all my programs was way faster than anything I have used in the past. Highly recommend this SSD. I also purchased an ASUS Hyper M.2 x16 x Interface Card PCI Express 3.0 which I plan on filling with more of these M.2 SSD's.

Video Card

I almost pulled the trigger on the RTX 2080 ti, but I didn't want to wait for them to ship out. Either way, this card does everything I want it to do. Handles CAD work and games effortlessly.

I like this case but I wish I would have gone with a full tower for my first build. This was a pain in the *** to work in. Plus, I had issues with the 200 mm front case fans not spinning. I could spend some more time with my cable management as well, i just wanted to get it to post and make sure my first build was put together correctly.

Power Supply

Plenty of watts to expand and possibly get a second 1080 ti. Also power the ASUS Hyper M.2 x16 x Interface Card PCI Express 3.0 i plan on adding soon. The 7940X has plenty of lanes to add both.

Beautiful build, future proof for a LONG time, you won't have to upgrade major parts such as GPU, CPU, and RAM for years. Nice choice on the peripherals as well.
