Description

I re-did my entire office/gaming setup. Everything is RGB and it's awesome. I don't know why people hate on it? The Corsair AIO really sucked to install... the micro-USB, fan and pump cables are in the most awkward positions on the pump so trying to get all of that to look clean and manage all the cables was a bit of a challenge. I ended up routing all of those around the standoffs and the two brackets holding the pump. Since I already had the pump installed on the CPU, routing all of those cables required some serious surgical precision. I wanted to get something going that was clean and extremely pleasing to look at. I've gotten some custom sleeved cable extensions from Ensourced to give it that extra little somethin' somethin'. What do you guys think?

Looks great but you really need at least 1440p monitor with all that power!

I was actually considering a 21:9 34" 144hz monitor. Definitely not ruling out the 4K option but it's hella expensive if refresh rate is something you really care about, ya know?

I would go 1440p with 100Hz + 4K is a big drain on preformance and not really needed for gaming imo, higher refrese rate is much better. Have a look at my recent build, I have very similar specs to you and went for an Acer Predator (can't remember the exact part number) 165Hz, 1440p and G-sync for £600.

Yeah the Acer predator is definitely top of the line as far as the specs go, price also... Please send me the link to the one you have. I really wanna check it out. This was the 21:9 monitor I was looking at https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B01LW5CGIS/ref=ox_sc_saved_image_1?ie=UTF8&psc=1&smid=A13ACIRM091OJE

the cables off the cpu cooler look kinda... ehh.. would it fit better if you just flipped the cooler? might make it look better, more streamlined. they long enough?

  • 1 point

If I flipped the pump it would actually push the tubes more into the side panel and it would have the corsair lettering upside down.

Question. Do the AIOs tubes push on the acryllic panel when its closed? i have a similar set up and mine pushes at the panel. Looks great man!

The tubes for the Corsair AIO are extremely rigid and don't bend very easily so yeah they were pushing on the side panel a lot. I had to really force it to close initially... I ended up just rotating them on the pump and the radiator until there was no interference.

One of the best looking builds I've seen no doubt. Nice cables, they really tie it in. That's one mean killing machine.

This is wonderful. How was the 6700k with cooperating with the z270 bios during installation?

  • 1 point

No issues at all. There was a bios update that was released shortly after the motherboard came out that fixed any sort of issues running the 6700k on it.

Honestly... I didn't like the entire panel being open. I like the look of the narrower window (even though it's acrylic). I wish they made an S340 that's the exact same style but instead of acrylic it was tempered glass. That would be nice.
