Description

I was dissatisfied with the noise level of my air cooled GPU. I bought a used MSI SeaHawk 1070 only to find out that the pump made kind of a hissing sound. Drove me nuts. Also I got intrigued by water cooling in general. I decided to go full custom loop and ordered mostly used water cooling parts and stuff from AliExpress. Cost me about 800,- Euros including the GTX 1070, which I stripped from its cheap Asetec design AIO. Apart from that, I used all the hardware from my previous build.

I thought I had planned it all out perfectly, but with no experience at all I learned along the way. Not to cheap out on fittings. Be prepared to order extension fittings after installing the basic loop. Not to plan tight or fancy tube bends as a beginner. And so on. It was quite a hustle working in the constrained space of the h200i case. It's no fun, wouldn't recommend it. I can recommend the magicool pump res combo though - great value. Also the slim xspc radiators do a good job, as the fin density is higher than on the average radiator.

The loop goes pump -> rad/draining port -> GPU -> rad -> CPU -> pump. Filling port is on top of the res, draining port can be accessed from the back of the case. Both tight spaces but not used often.

I am pleased with the overall result, the system is as silent as can be and easy on the eyes.

That's impressive! The H200 is not a big case. Kudos to you!
