Description

Basically took a risk with the H500P case, even with all its flaws, its one of the best-looking case ever made in my opinion. I have swapped out front 200mm fans for three corsair LL140mm fans. They look much better all while providing much better airflow. I spared no expenses on lighting. Please ignore the background of the pictures, since I have 2 1080TI hybrid cards, I tried to install them both in the front and in the top and back, the front had really bad effect as the fans were not static. Also gaming at 4k 60FPS around or under 400W with tweaked undervolted cpu and gpus.

Some RGB videos, please ignore the background noise, that's from my cooling fan, not the pc.

Congrats on the build. Looks nice. May I ask why you decided to go dual 1080Ti?

Thank you, most of the games I play support SLI, and for a smooth 4k experience, even a single 1080 TI is sadly not enough.

I love the build, I came really close to going with the H500P but then the 570x went on sale. Yours looks amazing though, good enough to make me question my decisions.

Thanks, I was also going crazy on deciding which case to get, this was always on top of my list, but all the negative reviews made me lean toward the 570x. I literally stepped away from ordering it, but then I remembered I didn't want to deal with noise since the 570x is an open case, it was instantly taken off my list. Removing the two big 200mm fan and replacing them with three 140mm fans solved the airflow issue.

I wish I had a full loop, but I am too lazy to maintain them, AIO performs almost as good as full loop, so decided to go AIO for all.

Sick rig! Any chance you could do 4k resolution sli gaming benchmarks? Thanks and sorry for the trouble!

Thanks, at this moment I am extremely swamped due to all the upcoming finals, but I will do m best to get to that and post, meanwhile please check out duderandom 84 he does all sorts of 4k benchmark with the same specs as me. https://www.youtube.com/user/DudeRandom84

ok np. I saw dude random's videos but not a lot are 4k sli. Take your time, no rush. Thanks and sorry again for the trouble

Nice build!! Our builds are similar. After looking at all your pics of the liquid cooling lines, I think it would look best if you just let them hang instead of tying them up. They would probably flow better.....regardless it's still a sweet build :)

Thanks, originally I had let them hang, but they would get in the way of the NZXT logo, I also had to kind of cram it on the top along with the Kraken x52. I will actually let them hang though, I also feel uncomfortable that they are so tied up.

I'm sure it will grow on you :) and you'll be glad you did in the long run.

Looks money man. Perfect IMO.

How did you fit the Kraken x65 rad which is 315mm long and the hybrid cooler which is 121mm wide in the top? I'm trying to do the same with a rad that's 3mm shorter for cpu and same hybrid 1080 rad and it's a tad too long of a combo to fit without modding it, from test fitting not hard to so but still.... :)

  • 1 point

Lol I'm trying to figure out the exact same thing. All I can tell from the photos is it looks like the hybrid radiator is in there sideways

  • 1 point

Probably if you got exact same rads would fit (he did it and I assume without major mod to case). The Evga CLC 280 plus evga hybrid rad does not fit, no matter how you position without mods. I tried and it's almost a full 1/4 In too big/long for both on top. The evga 280 must be slightly longer (maybe rad ends) in actuality even though specs list it as slightly smaller (few mm) or maybe? No idea really, but didn't work for me.

I ended up putting hybrid 1 rad push/pull as exhaust back of case with 2 SP120mm corsair, the 280 evga on top as exhaust on top with 2 ML140mm corsair fans pushinh air and the other hybrid as an intake with the 200mm cooler master pushing and a sp120mm corsair pulling, works good. Great temps so far.

Hi, I actually downgraded the Kraken x62 to x52, unfortunately, the x62 and the 120mm would not fit no matter what. Even after switching to the X52 it was a very tight fit, I had to flip the radiator around like the hose down and then it would fit, I also had to take off the mount on top of the case, fit the two radiators and then put everything back together. This case definitely has very poor airflow, even with all those fans things stay pretty warm when gaming.

SLI FTW!

Definitely, I just wish developers would program their games to utilize it more.

what monitors do you use?

  • 1 point

Hi just a tv for now, I had a Vizio M43 4k tv which worked pretty well, I just swapped over to a Samsung Mu7000 4k 40 inch few weeks ago. It works and looks great and serves way more function than a monitor. 4K monitors are way too small and way too expensive, thats the reason for going with a tv.

Totally agreed! Most 4k monitor are too small and doesn't do 4k any justice. 40" 4k is the minimum IMO. I want to see everything big, clear and detail.

Hi i was wondering if you had any troubles with your motherboard mounting the rear vent from Corsair ?

I heared people couldnt make it fit because of the I/O big plastic part, can you tell ?

  • 1 point

Hi, are you talking about the rear fan or radiator? If so I did not have any issues fitting it, there were plenty of spaces in this case.

  • 1 point

Yeah i'm talking about the corsair fan you had to put on the rear to exhaust air i heared people had so issues to fit an exhaust fan if using the Msi Carbon Z370 because of the shield

Hi, yes had zero problems with this case and motherboard combo, even with the default 140mm Cooler Master fan it fitted just fine.

Buddy, your the third build I’ve seen with two different pastes listed. Are you combining both? I’m looking to delid my 8700k and want the best. I thought the best was the Thermal Grizzly Conductonaut Thermal Grease Paste - 1.0 Gram

  • 1 point

Hi, I used the liquid metal between the die and IHS after the delid, for liquid metal Thermal Grizzly is definitely top notch, for the heatsink and Ihs I just used gelid extreme, I had really good experience with them, according to many people there is literally at the most 1c difference between Thermal grizzly and gelid extreme. So honestly go with whichever you find cheaper.

Did you have any problems fitting the 280mm radiator for the kraken and the 120mm radiator for the hybrid up top? Do you happen to have any more detailed pics of the radiator/fan/mounting you ended up doing on top?

Does the nzxt krakem block your first ram slot?

  • 1 point

Nope, I have the Gskill vengeance, they fit perfectly fine, if you have large ram stick it might be a problem and you might have to mount the cooler in different directions.

  • 1 point

What is the height of the RAM? It seems like you are only running 2 sticks.. are you sure the kraken isn't covering the first port?
