Description

You know that I know that you know this is my first build. (I had to have an original name)

I'm not a chatty person so here she is.

I'll be using this build for gaming, downloading, music, and videos.

I've always wanted a system like this since I was a pup, 24 years old now. Finally got a few credit cards (bad bad yes I know) and went on a shopping spree. My Fiancé and myself and rocking new builds, will post hers in a week or so once I get it all together, just got the parts today.

Took a few nights after work to get it all installed and setup. Took another few nights to find an ISO for Win7 since my OEM copy won't let me download from Microsoft's website.

She's up and running now installing a whole whopping 223 updates, not including setting up my monitor, SLI cards, speakers, or much of anything else. Whole setup is a tad loud, that's on me tho since I run all 7 of my fans at 100%. Without a CD drive took me a bit to get my LAN setup so that I could Google the rest of my drivers. Had to tweak the setting a little to get my HDD recognized, but it finally is.

No word on performance or anything, it's still updating now. Overall I expect absolutely no issues with this beast.

Yes, my computer desk is most likely older than I am, but I love the storage capabilities and how sturdy it is.

The last two pictures are my old system, bought from BestBuy and put a cheap Dynex PSU in and a EVGA GeForce GTX 460. It got me through most of my WoW days, but with Tera or Aion it fails miserably. Plus I've had to replace the HDD in it three times.

As it stands right now, I'm happy =).

Pictures looked better on my phone >.<... No real camera, sorry guys.

Personally I'd have gone with a single 980 ti with the option to sli down the line - just future proofs it that much more but hey 2 970s aint bad either not at all! +1

The construction the pc stands on is looking like its gonna fall? So maybe just put a piece of wood below it and not all of that :) +1

It won't, it's screwed and glued together, majored in construction so I'm confident it's not going anywhere =)

Didn't you put the PSU in upside down(isn't the fan supposed to be faced down)

With it raised off the carpet so much and running SLI I think it makes sense to flip it.

Well done !!

Studly looking build. I love the V8 against the red-lit backdrop. Do you have a fan controller or did you use a bunch of y-splitters to hook up to the mobo, or does the mobo just have a butt-load of 3/4pin connectors?

Mobo has room for 7, 5+2 for CPU fans, tho the fans only have a 6 inch wire on them so I had to use the built in fan controller on my case for most of them. Think only the CPU fans and one of my top fans are in the mobo, rest are tied in with 4pin molex to the PSU.
