Description

It runs Overwatch at max around 150fps for 1920x1080 resolution. The GPU temp when gaming is around 65. When idle it is 37.

I am a console player and this is my first ever PC, so I wanted to buy high end parts. The storage, I am struggling on using, but other than that it is amazing! 144hz is worth it! Even I noticed it! The controls are hard, but I am trying my best.

Part Reviews

CPU

Works well. I game using it and it multitasks okay. I would recommend it for gaming, not streaming if doing both at the same time.

CPU Cooler

It cools my CPU at 49 C, very good. It’s underrated and more people should consider this CPU cooler. I was skeptical at first, but decided to take a risk and it works well. The software is good too.

Motherboard

Worked well. Had a few issues, but they were human error.

Memory

Not sure if it is running at its advertised speed, but it seems to work.

Storage

Was detected but forced into the storage pool and now I am having trouble getting to use it.

Video Card

Cools well, 64C on Overwatch, maxed out at 1080p. It was around 154fps on Overwatch.

Case

Was a little complicated to put things together because of the right areas for certain spots.

Monitor

Best 144hz 1080p TN monitor! The color quality is awesome when faced head on.

Keyboard

Works well. I like the wristrest too. The lighting options are pretty cool.

Mouse

Works as advertised. It handles well and responds quickly. Good build quality too.

Not bad.. but you did cheap out on the storage. Personally a 1TB WD blue and something like kingston or sandisk SSD would have been better but i guess when you have the money to afford that, Id probbaly get even more storage for the price.

For gaming id say a 2TB black and a m.2 SSD is the best combo. Then stick some used WD blue 4TB drive in your system when you want mass storage for videos.

ive got an i5-6500 and that is amazing just for gaming. Ive only seen its limitations playing ARK survival evolved as that is a CPU intensive game, and some editing software.

If i didnt play ARK or edit videos now, i would probbaly keep this CPU for all eternity as it does an amazing job playing every game at 60fps on a budget. I bought this used as well and its not died yet.

Nice build, I’m kinda curios about the monitor is it really good? I’m between this and a MSI one that I don’t remember but it’s around the same price

This monitor is amazing! And you can use G-Sync on it with a NVIDIA GPU with the new software update. Screen tearing disappeared. The colors are good to me (and I am crazy about color) and vibrant.

My bad for not replying. The overall PC (can’t test cooler alone since I am not tech savvy) does make a bit of noise, but is dead silent if you any type of headphones, even with the sound off, noise isolating headphones will drown out the minimal noise.
