Description

This is my 3rd build and I'm really happy with it. Went for a black, white, and green theme. Really love the front to back clear panel. The case is really easy to work in and has excellent wire management. The doors swing open on hinges. Upgraded from an AMD FX6300 and GTX 770, gave that to my son. Thought about going with the i7 but thought it was overkill.

The mother board has easy over clocking and I have it at 4.3 with no change in voltage. The memory is at 2933 and is more than I'll ever need.

Could of saved some money by buying online but I don't have that kind of patience... Lol.

Edit: Added one more LED strip on the bottom.

Part Reviews

CPU

First time I've built with Intel...so far so good. Have it at 4.3 and it runs smooth.

CPU Cooler

Good enough for me...like the look of the dual fan radiators but I would have to mount on the top of my case and take the cover off the top exposing the grill holes.

Motherboard

Great motherboard... Easy to use interface....good looks. Wish it had more USB ports on the back.

Storage

Had it for a couple of years still going strong.

Storage

Good ol spinner...what else can you say. I only trust WD.

Video Card

Love the looks and the fact that it spits the hot air out if the case.

Case

Love this case. Super easy to work in and looks awesome. The two fans in front are LED and quiet. The case has a controller for them on the front panel. The case also has great air flow.

Monitor

This is a beautiful display. I thought my 1080p monitor was good...this monitor puts it to shame. The color and contrast are great.

Keyboard

I like the chiclet keys. Had the solid green backlit one before. The software is a little clunky but serviceable.

Mouse

Bought it refurbished. Also have an M65 that I like a lot....decisions...decisions.

Speakers

Love these bad boys. Great sound and a good value.

Do you love this build? Yes? Then please get a new power supply <3

I thought about that, I'm reusing this one from a previous build. What would you recommend and why? This one is semi modular and bronze, would a gold be better?

The EVGA 750 G2 is a fantastic 750w power supply and is fully modular. It's just a fantastic component... It's a Superflower class PSU in EVGA's line up is highly regarded by JonnyGuru, the top reviewer of power supplies in my, and many other people's opinion.

Good catch, I fixed my part list. I have a CX that I used to build my son's computer and I got them mixed up.

The black version of that case is one of my favorite cases, outstanding build parts and looks.

Haha yes! Planning on plastidipping all the stupid chrome pieces soon! Just hesitant to spray it on matte white paint.

Wow... this actually comes very close the the build I'm currently assembling... It looks epic in the first picture, good positioning for your LED strip. Good job!

Thanks. I bought another one and I'm going to put on the bottom facing up to light the bottom half of the mother board and GPU.
