Time laps of the finished build here: https://youtu.be/VgQNjP5jAB0

Took me a while to post this one, sorry about that. We had been collecting parts and pulled the trigger on completing the build during the recent graphics card crisis. The finishing touches are finally on and the build is running great. Got some pictures of it running at my buddy's house. He's running fortnite and work constantly with great temps.

Deadpool emblem was taken from a belt buckle and the paint is splattered enamel. We got the action figure for about 30 bucks. Another 10 or so for lights and 30 on cable and that pretty much covers the cosmetics.

The cpu and cooler are both hand-me-downs. And no, that cooler DOES NOT fit am4....but we made it fit : P https://youtu.be/UegLnA5-uJQ fun times....

Everything else was chosen with mid range and quality in mind. The Graphics card was not cheep at time but the system came in around 1000 after everything so not too bad considering how bad prices were. The corsair RAM was on sale at micro center so that was kinda a steal.

The fractal case is amazing. SOOOO many places for 120mm fans in such a small case. Review here!: https://youtu.be/WqBAOmRZqVw

what else can I say... I'm always happy to get a friend back into the game. Making something with quality and flair makes me happy too : P

I suck bc I couldn't think of any deadpool jokes to include in this description... guess I'll just go grab myself a chimichanga and a mountain dew to think it over...

Part Reviews

CPU

powerful with a low wattage and nice low temps. Great mid-low range chip if your on a budget on want to stay small and quiet.

CPU Cooler

No easy way to upgrade this to am4. Had me a headache. Temps are that amazing ether. Tubes suck. The red core is cool but always strobes.

Motherboard

great mid-low range gaming board. No problems so far. Wish it had wifi.

Memory

sexy af. what can I say. Also overclocked and reliable. Try and find it on sale as it is very nice but overpriced.

Storage

So far so good. Couldn't afford the Samsung but this is almost as good for a much better price. WD is dependable as far as I know.

Video Card

THIS COOLER IS REDICK for a 1060. Kinda overkill but kinda awesome at the same time. One of only 2 1060s in the store during the GPU crisis so we took what we could get.

Great performance compared to others but the thing reminds me of the old r9 390 its so big. Keep that in mind as far as your case and slots.

Case

This matx case has more then most full atx cases, and its well built, and its easy to use. Easy pick. Go for the mesh version if noise isn't a thing that bothers you. This one manages to stay cool with the sound dampening so the noise really just comes out the back. Kinda nice I gotta say.

Power Supply

corsair, and a 7 yr warranty. was also on sale. Seemed a great choice. easy to work with. Gold rated is a good feeling.

Nice theme build! Only one gripe. Despite the fact it looks cool and matches the theme, Deepcool AIO’s suck performance-wise, compared to other brands, like Corsair, for example. Hmm, Deepcool. Deadpool. +1

Deepcool isn't that bad. Its just that the older Captain AIOs didn't have a lot of support for different motherboards.

I’m sure you’re right. I paired a $70 Deepcool 240ex with an Intel Core 8700k and the temps were 10-15 degrees C higher than a slightly cheaper Noctua air cooler, under max load.

Interesting. I know my R5 1500X isn't anywhere near as powerful as an 8700K, but my 240EX still keeps it under 70C under load.

Then that’s a good pairing of hardware, what you have. I’m coming from my experience. Makes sense.

The cpu is pretty tame and I had the cooler already so I just gave it to him. Deff better then the stock wraith cooler

I just recently did a build in this very case and its great as Fractal Design basically made it a blank slate for customizations. And customize you did.. Awesome build.

Gorgeous. Custom work and part choices are beautiful. I love how you posted the action figure. Hope you get featured for this one. Also, cable management is on point.

How did you get the ryzen cpu for free

  • 2 points

It wasn't free for me. I upgraded to a 1600x and gave this to my friend (owner of the build) for free. He's one of my best friends and PC prices where crazy at the time so I wanted to help him out. He got the cooler and cpu (lightly used) for free from my "stock" Once it was done he did give me a sold tip ($) for the completed build : P

Exactly. This was a free part for him and the CPU isn't that hot to start with so it worked out.
