Description

This is my first PC build. I had some help in choosing the components and I’m pretty happy with the finished product. Gaming at 1080p is exceptional and temps stay fairly low. I didn’t want to go overboard with. RGB so just stuck with the RGB that came with the components and didn’t add any extra.

I should probably also note I got most of the components for less than what they're listed for in the price sheet. The MOBO was given to me for free, and I paid $220 for the GTX 1070. I think I have ~$1,100 into it.

I'm going to build another one with all AMD components when the new stuff launches. I think I can build something even better for under 1k.

I’ve made a part list that is a £1.5K SETUP with the 1080 and Ryzen 7... so your idea is probably going to work. It’s the Mini ITX one.

Btw ur psu is overkill for this setup just get a 500 or 400 one. If I got a 650 psu I would at least buy one that is Gold Rated.

Yea I realize now I didn't need a 650. I will probably do a mini build next time as well with a Ryzen and 2070. I think 16GB RAM would have been plenty as well as I use it strictly for gaming and haven't seen more than around 12GB used.

If you are going to build another Pc just move 2 ram sticks from this Pc to the new one so you have an extra £70 to spend on whatever you need. The Fractal Design Core 500 is such a good case for the price. I would recommend it if you are on a budget and are focusing on specs rather than looks. I would have got the 2070 and Ryzen but when I found about the Core 500, I was able to save money because I did not focus on the aesthetics as it’s was a closed pc case. It’s also really small, but super flexible. That’s how I was able to fit the 1080 in my Pc, while being on a budget. I could I gotten a 2070 because it is better than a the 1080 in fps: https://gpu.userbenchmark.com/Compare/Nvidia-RTX-2070-vs-Nvidia-GTX-1080/4029vs3603

What do you think I should do?

Hi there! Just a quick question, how are your cpu temps while idle and gaming? Im planning to get this cpu cooler and i am wondering if it performs well or not. Thanks.

Idle it seems to sit right around 30c, gaming really varies but never goes over 65c. If you're not overclocking this cooler will cool just about anything.
