Description

Just finished up college and started work. Figured I should stop playing games on my MacBook Pro haha. Going to mostly use this for LoL and RL, but I may try to get into PUBG.

Didn't want to spend more than 1k, but then I saw rgb, however, I did stay close to the mark. That's when I decided I had to have the 460x and wayyy overpriced ram. That's the way she goes though.

Snagged the monitor of FB marketplace for super cheap which was awesome since I was really wanting 144 Hz monitor. Does great with LoL so far haven't gotten much else loaded up yet though.

Windows probably took me the longest to figure out...I couldn't format the dang flash drive for the iso...O well.

Seems pretty quiet and I was really surprised it actually turned on once I was done.

Only thing that bugs me is the GPU. I will likely order a backplate for it and finally call it.

Part Reviews

CPU

Was thinking Intel early on, but then it seemed as if the 1600 was the way to go to keep costs down because of the stock cooler. (Oh man that 1700 stock cooler was calling my name though)

Motherboard

Super cool looking and BIOS worked well with my ram its currently at 2933.

Storage

Super fast! Never used an SSD before but got a steal on this bad boy from FRY's a little bit ago. This is the part that actually kicked off the entire chain reaction of me deciding to build a PC. I was on the fence of getting a pre-built.

Video Card

Gets the job done for what I need! However, I reaaaalllly need a back plate haha

Case

Was looking at the 570, but it looked super difficult for a first timer and expensive too. I like this one a lot though!

Operating System

You know the deal.

Monitor

Slick deal off FB marketplace. Basically brand new.

Keyboard

Snagged from walmart awhile ago since they went on sale for like 49 and $3 warranty. I really like the volume wheel thingy.

Mouse

Trusty mouse from like 5 years ago.

Setup looks fresh with those led fans and the effort you put into the cable management looks good, all good parts chosen and if you're happy with how it looks and performs that's perfect. I'm currently building my 1st build and I hope it turns out as good as this. Good Job

Thanks man, I just didnt show you a picture of the back haha. It was kinda messy back there, but since I only had one ssd for memory it didnt get too crowded. I definitely had no idea what I was doing and was super surprised it turned on first try.

Cool build, that case is my dream case, but is way outta my budget!

How does the PNY card do under Furmark or heavy load, temp and noise wise? I'm looking at this or EVGA's SC Gaming 1060 3GB.

Honestly, if you are able to I would definitely pay the extra 30-50$ for a 6 gb card. It works great for me since I only play League of legends and rocket league right now. If you are going for more intensive games the six gb would provide a lot of oomph.

This case was definitely nice. For a first time builder it had everything I needed.
