That is one awesome first build. May your FPS be high and temperatures low. +1 :)

What was your budget? I don't really see X99 as being in a beginner builder's budget zone.

Personally, I would have gone with an i7-6700k, but I dont know what you want to do with your machine. Second thing is at your price-point I would look into an m.2 drive... maybe the samsung 950 pro. I have used the 950 pro on my own machines and it is amazing! Other than that I love the build!

i was originally going to go with the 6700k but really wanted the 6 cores! and i will look into one for sure!

You should spin your Hard Drive/Fan Boxes 90° so you can get more airflow into the back of the case, instead of just blowing over your storage. At least, that's what I did with my Storm Stryker.

okay i will consider that! couldn't i just put two more in the back?

I guess. Meaning you would mount them on the 'sides' of the hdd boxes and blow back over the GPU? It all depends on your current temps, how you want it to look, and what kind of pressure/air flow scheme you're trying to accomplish. If your temps are fine and you like how it looks, don't worry about changing a thing.

Personally, I went for positive pressure and as much air over the GPUs as I could. The filters on the case are great and whenever I clean, all of the dust is on the front filters, not inside my case.

In your parts list it specifies you're using a gskill 32gb kit 2x16gb sticks. The trident z model f4-3333c16d-32gtz. But in the pics it shows you have 4 dimms installed. I was also planning on buying the gskill kit and the rog strix x99 gaming motherboard, obviously I would be initially running in dual channel mode until I can afford more ram. I was unsure if this kit will run though being certified for z170 and not x99. Can you confirm which specific memory you have installed?

yes i do have 4 8gb of the trident z 3333. just wasn't an option in the pcpartpicker list.
