Description

My ATX Mid Tower gaming PC with full RGB lighting control. Nothing special internally, i5 6600k and the 1060 3gb are a good combo. I've had it for 3 months and it works well. Great frames and rather quiet. I like NZXT's Hue+ and its ability to sync with the Kraken through CAM. RGB LED's look great through the tempered glass.

Easily got the CPU to 4.6 GHz without adjusting manual voltage. Cinebench scores were 653 @ 3.5 GHz and 767 @ 4.6 GHz. Graphics Card Scored 3106 and 125fps on Heaven Benchmark DX11.

Temps stay very cool with a total of 6 fans. Fan speeds, as well as LED's, are controlled through NZXT's CAM. Boot times are around 5 seconds off of the SSD. The NZXT Kraken is super quiet and performs great. The RGB infinite mirror is a nice touch as well. Overall, a solid build.

Part Reviews

CPU

Solid 4 core CPU. Great performance stock and even better when overclocked.

CPU Cooler

Arguably the best AIO cooler on the market and certainly the best looking. Extremely quiet even under load. Infinite mirror with RBGs really adds a nice look. My only complaint would be that it only supports 4 fans requiring the other two to be controlled either through the MB or through a separate controller. This isn't a huge deal and solvable with something like a GRID+.

Motherboard

Good ATX MB for the price. Allows for nice overclocking. Easy BIOS and lots of USB headers.

Memory

No problems with this RAM. Works at 3200mHz like it should. Low-profile with a nice black finish.

Storage

Works very well. As stated, boot speeds are lightning fast.

Video Card

Good card but would recommend a different 1060 3gb. Chose this one because the white matched my color scheme but I believe it isn't the best. Was more expensive than other brands and is very noisy under load. However, it stays cool and is quiet at idle. Gets the job done.

Case

Awesome case for looks but was difficult to build in. It's very small. If you are using an ATX MB then beware it is a very tight fit. Same goes for the PSU. The website said that a radiator could be mounted at the top but there is no way to fit one there. You'd have to cut every wire at the top of the MB. For front-mounting radiators it's good. Cable management wasn't too difficult with the wide space behind the MB. Everything is great quality and the glass is nice. Includes magnetic dust covers which are a nice touch.

Power Supply

Good PSU for the money. Reliable with good efficiency. Modular cables are nice although they can be stiff and are rather thick.

Wireless Network Adapter

Fast network card. Very small. Gets the job done.

Other

Really like this monitor. I was unable to determine the Hz rating before buying it but it runs at 75Hz. 27 inches makes a big difference over 24.

Dude! Man! The most fresh 460x build yet. I don't love bulbs but you made them work because you without-ed aer's on top and the exhaust in the rear. With some respect to corsair their fans don't manage these cases well. You chose wisely. It's either the Riings or Aer's for rgb fans. Terrific Werk!

Someone build that PLEASE

Lyrix 1 point 4 months ago

wow! 1+! i would make a backplate/buy a backplate for that pcb of the gpu.

mlach 4 Builds 1 point 4 months ago

Nope, sorry. At minimum, you're missing 3 more aer rgb fans as well as an rgb gpu. No cigar, my friend.

just playing, all good. but seriously, get 3 more aer fans.

blockbuster4664 1 Build 1 point 4 months ago

3/10 no RGB PSU, GPU or Mobo shakes head in disappointment

tobothehobo 1 point 4 months ago

no RGB ram 0/10

MythicalBeasley 1 point 4 months ago

Should have gone with TridentZ or a Vengeance for more RGB, apart from that nice build +1

TitoKruz 1 point 3 months ago

Awesome! I actually went with the exact same case and the Hue+ lighting with Aer fans! They were sold out of the rgb version of the case when I bought it so I decided to get this one and outdo the corsair fans haha Yours looks way cleaner than mine though, where did you place the led strips because the front edges seemed pretty tricky. Job well done!
