Description

Hey guys this is my revised build, New things: Added another 980Ti with waterblock and backplate, Swaped cables with new CableMod Graphite cables, MNPCtech custom Stealth BILLET Cable Combs and added two Dell Ultrasharp U2415 1920x1200 monitors and rested all the monitors on a Ergotech Triple Monitor Desk Stand.

As of right now I decided to go with a second 980Ti over a GTX1080 because I really did not feel for the price jump my performance gain would not be that significant. I was able to pick up this 980Ti, water-block and back-plate for $400 on Ebay. Once the additional card came in with the new cables and fittings I drained the loop, added the card and filled her back up with fresh fluid. (Still a complete pain in the ***)

I will admit that the 980Ti SLI is not quite what I had in mind at first, some games get very angry in SLI and for the first few days I was experiencing crashing in almost every game. After a few days I believe I got it all sorted out and its running quite well. The games that support SLI run very well, Battlefield 4 gets about 200fps on average with all settings on Ultra, Black Ops III: 130fps+, Overwatch: 140fps+ and even GTA V with all setting 100% maxed gets around 95 - 110fps. The only game I really wish ran at a better framerate was Rainbow 6: Siege but that doesn't support SLI.

All in all I am very pleased with the new build and Setup. The custom cable combs are from MNPCtech, they are cnc machined from 1/8" thick 6061 aluminum so they are impossible to snap and look fantastic! The additional monitors are very useful and the Ergotech Stand is absolutely amazing! The build quality is outstanding. Although the base has a large footprint it definitely looks great and the hinges feel like they would support a car door.

As for now I will sit tight and wait for the GTX1080Ti release. Stay tuned for my next build!

This looks amazing. The fluid looks like acid running through pipes. Awesome. Super choice!

Jcroker 2 points 29 months ago

Are those UV lights in the case keeping that liquid bright green?

Oh man, I have to look into those cable combs for when I buy my window replacement for my case; nice build and thanks for the comb tip.

Gamerboy0727 1 Build 1 point 29 months ago

That Fluid looks Amazing !

MiraMinx 1 point 29 months ago

This is just glorious, how did you get the glow to be so consistent all the way around the loop?

Arcticyclone submitter 4 Builds 1 point 29 months ago

I have UV tubing and UV fluid and lots of black lights :D

MiraMinx 1 point 29 months ago

Ahhh, that explains so very much. And as much as I love looking at that I can't even imagine the pain your soul must feel when you have to fill it.

AustinHerzfeldt 7 Builds 1 point 29 months ago

What exact fluid colors and UV lights did you use? I must know, this is a masterpiece that must be recreated!

Arcticyclone submitter 4 Builds 1 point 29 months ago

Everything is in the Parts list, Fluid is XSPC EC6 Non Conductive Coolant - UV Green. Lights are CableMod WideBeam Magnetic LED Strip UV - 60cm / 30 LEDs

d_plus_k 1 Build 1 point 29 months ago

Is your sli working on 8x8 mode or 8x4 mode because of 950pro that requires 4 pci-e lanes?

Arcticyclone submitter 4 Builds 1 point 29 months ago

Both cards are running 8 lanes, the M.2 runs off the PCH

d_plus_k 1 Build 1 point 29 months ago

Thanks, sir!

Bh117 1 point 28 months ago

Arcticyclone submitter 4 Builds 1 point 28 months ago

What did you use the double nipple and l connector for PLZ RESPONDDDDD AMAZING BUILD

Arcticyclone submitter 4 Builds 1 point 25 months ago

Sorry its been a few days, Do you mean the link between the 2 GPU's?

Literalized 1 point 25 months ago

i see what u did now, was the tubing hard to bend im thinking of doing a right angle build also

Arcticyclone submitter 4 Builds 1 point 25 months ago

Ummmm, it's not as easy as it might seem. Order like 3 to 4 times as much as you think you'll need. You'll have a lot of time in it, watch some youtube videos and take your time.

Literalized 1 point 25 months ago

Thanks for the response how many did you end up using lol

Arcticyclone submitter 4 Builds 1 point 24 months ago

Sorry for the delayed response, I probably used 12 tubes, 3' long each.

adventureguy 2 Builds 1 point 24 months ago

Dual 980 Ti's for 2 1080p 60hz monitors? That's a bit overkill if I know overkill.

adventureguy 2 Builds 1 point 24 months ago

Jk didn't see the 1440p monitor lel I'm dumb.

Cwooley 1 Build 0 points 29 months ago

get rid of the glass desk and fix those cables my guy

Arcticyclone submitter 4 Builds 1 point 29 months ago

Naw man glass desk FTW! I did just order a bunch of cable management things though.

Yahtadi -1 points 29 months ago

Stunning af! But i'd rather choose the pipe from CPU to the back, so we cant see it hanging there from front
