Description

I upgraded my pre-built Alienware Aurora R1 for this machine. I pretty much picked what I wanted on my new machine. This is my first build, so the works kinda sloppy i.e cable management.

So far the I have manage to acquire all hardware without problem. However, I did encountered (as expected) some hiccups along the build, I found it at the early stages during mobo post-test. I have narrowed it down to one faulty dimm which is now in the process of being returned.

1-2TB HDD for more storage and maybe a 500gb SSD just for the games I play a LOT. Also, DEMCiFlex Corsair 760T Magnetic filters for anti-dust.

Some parts were just cannibalised from my old rig, speakers, headphones, Samsung SSD, 2tb hdd.

Update: Boug another 2.5" hybrid hdd and installed the sleeved cables from moddiy. Also installed an arm mount for the screen.

I've been a fan of the G9x so I went ahead and tried the predecessor. I've been loving it so far.

Love the facing of PC. Purple color is beautifull but that Noctua fans are damn ugly. I dont know why they are going with that color. Anyways, great build. +1

I have the same mobo, CPU, and memory. Is your Windows 8.1 stable? I'd love to know what you set in BIOS settings

So far it's stable. Right now however the system is in hibernation since I have to RMA the faulty dimms, I should be able to get the replacements later this week.

How's the Noctua nh-d15? Do you regret getting it? And is it THAT ugly like everybody says?

I'm loving it so far. I do however is changing the CPU cooler fans for a Noctua redux just to get rid of the poop-vomit theme going on and switch to black/gray color.

I'm pretty sure he meant him assembling it, not that it performs sloppy.

I didn't do too bad assembling it, but since it was a first build I took extra precaution of what to do and whatnot.

Thanks. I said sloppy just cause it's my first build. I haven't had the experience yet to do better cable management.

I went ahead for the best one I could find. I should had went with something else that had more appealing sleeve cables. I only found one or two color for the Antec.

well antec is a decent company but there's better for that wattage as in seasonic, Evga, Corsair, XFX, OCZ

tell how good is that monitor for gaming

I just got one. Monitor is good for productivity esp cause it's IPS. As for games, you might have to find or install software like 'flawless widescreen' to make 21:9 work great.

How do you think of this power supply? What about its noisy level compare to WD Black 2TB?

Sorry late reply as I haven't been on the website in a long while. Do you still need my input? I don't have any problem with any of my parts so far. Antec is very reliable from experience, not to mention the HCP is top-notched rated.

Antec is reliable from experience, the HCP is top rated so I picked that. As for the WD Black, it was from a previous pc that I scavenged... I now have WD red 1tb(downloads) and a WD 4tb (most games) since I found out that WD black performance is negligible if you use an SSD as OS.
